Once an assignment is graded, have the option to lock the assignment so it can't be turned back in.
There have been some great upgrades to Teams, but in some ways there were also some steps backward. I love the rubrics and the ability to assign to individual students. However, there are now some new issues. When I grade and return an assignment, it used to be stamped with the time and date of turn in. If a student turned something in late, it would show that. This was great for solving disputes with students and parents. However, now, once an assignment is graded and returned, all the student has to do is click "turn in late" and it takes away the old time stamp. The problem with that is, all the student has to do is say they accidentally clicked "turn in late" and that they actually turned it in on time the first time when it was graded. To put this simply, when I assign points to an assignment and return it to the student, I should have the option of locking that assignment so the student can no longer edit and return it, or I should be able to leave it open and allow the student to revise and turn it back in.

I agree with the problem of students re-submitting work. There are times I want the students to do an assignment over and there are times I do not want that to happen. When a student does poorly on an assignment I always encourage them to do it over. However, when a student does well I do not want them to do it over. I need to have control over who can turn it in again and who cannot. Similar to the ability to assign different work to different students, I need to be able to manage the turn in process. And if I do want the student to turn it in again, I need to see a history of the time stamp of each submission. This allows me to communicate more clearly with parents how they have improved.
