create links in Teams Files
It is not possible to create a saved Web Link in the Teams view of files but it is possible to create a web Link in the Sharepoint view of Teams Files. When the link is clicked on in Sharepoint, the link works. In the Teams view a link just tries to download a file.
Could web Links be made to work the same in the Teams view of Files as in the Sharepoint view of the same files.

Yes, this capability will help us greatly! New > Web Link would be awesome.

I often want to share a link to something else to go along with other files in ym Teams Files, and am having to make a Word Document to just to put the link in :(

Only available on SharePoint, such a shame.
And this link doesn't work when you come back to Teams. -

This will help us from having to post the same file in different teams; we can just link and any updates are visible to all. It's a great feature of SharePoint.

...or if MS is unwilling to allow bookmarks in the Files, how about giving us a Bookmarks tab-app? That might actually be even better, if that would allow notes on the links.

If I am not mistaken, this was a well-functioning feature some time ago? Or was it only in Sharepoint? Anyway, please MS, make New => weblink possible in Teams, too. It would help a lot. Now we either need to add them in the tab above (not very good), or put links in a document (also not good), or in the group chat (works, but gets lost).

This is one of my issues as well. You can do this in Groups and in OneDrive, but not in Teams Files? I really hope they add this feature!
As a work around you can:
-add as a tab on the task bar for the Team
-use Class Notebook
-add a Word doc and put your links there -

Well, this is a necessity indeed. But, sadly, the feature has not been created.
