Master Team - Grouping related teams under an "uber team"
One of the questions I'm often asked is about how to change rights so people can only access some areas of a team. The power of teams is that all areas can access all files and should be a trusted group.
The example I am given is The executive function within a Department needs to separate its information from the rest of the department and they don't want two teams for the department as this "looks messy"
This idea is to create a mechanism whereby a group of related teams can be created. The outer team by default allows anyone in a subteam access and provides some "all user" functionality. The subteams are just literally normal teams related to the outer. The inner teams name would have something to relate them back to the outer. They could be accessed via the outer team or directly.
Whilst this could potentially provide "Nested" teams I would suggest it might be better for it to remain at one level, otherwise complication begins to be introduced. This could be provided as an option if many people felt it would be advantageous.
Note: Members added to sub teams should be able to be moderated by the master team owner. They should not see Master group content unless accepted through moderation even if they can see content in the invited sub team.
