Add/Remove students in Class Notebooks
Please make it possible to add/remove students once a Class Notebook is made in Teams. Not being able to add/remove students makes Teams Class Notebooks inconvenient.
Ali Johnson commented
Please make this more convenient. In Class NB you added a check box that said Delete Student Content after we removed a student. Why is this not an option in Teams?
FYI to anyone else on this ticket, If you open OneNote in 2016 or Windows App you can right click and delete a child's folder so you no longer see name/their work.

It is extremely frustrating to have to use a product that is supposed to help teachers that in fact inhibits them when classes and students change all the time - FIX IT

I received a response from someone at Microsoft saying that this situation exists by design. I sincerely hope that after hearing from end-users of the product that Microsoft reconsiders their design, AND communicates with end-users about the limitations of the current design. My district is using a model of having one class per day in person and one class per day in a hybrid format where students are mostly online. I depend on the class notebook being an effective tool to communicate with students, assess work, and provide feedback on it. If I am away, a substitute teacher is added to my Team in order to allow them access to do the same in my absence. I now have several individuals in my Team who are either not in the class or are not regular teachers of the group, and there is no way to remove them.

I am able to remove a student by right-clicking and removing the section with the student name. I am able to add a student by adding them to the Team. A section automatically appears with their name on it. Maybe this feature has been added?

I work in a very transient district and this would be super helpful to have as an update.

With more schools going virtual this change needs to be made. Even when you delete someone from your class, they are still in the class notebook. Can you image with schedule changes, children transferring to new schools, how messy this will be for teachers. All students or teachers remain in the class notebook; even after being removed.
Another crazy thing I noticed, is that I updated my class notebook name, and now there is two for the same class. However, it only shows in my list on notebooks, not in the class.
I have been trying to delete one colleagues from my notebook for a few days now, I was told to open in browser, go to file, and edit. However, when I open in browser and go to edit there are no names there. Not even the teacher, that i did not delete. I have no idea how to fix, and neither does Microsoft. I called customer support, gave him access to my computer screen and he jump around screen to screen for 30 minutes, with no solution, I still have two names in my class notebook, one is still in the class, and one has been deleted from the class. Why are added people unable to be removed?

You can, as a workaround, delete the deleted students from the list of people that have direct access to this notebook. this orks well from within the onenote-app in the upper right corner, whre you can share a notebook. afterwards you can delete the pages of this student.
It's not a very smooth way but at least it works...
Please add this as it is inconsistent being able to use an action in one place and not another. It also makes the Insights information inaccurate if unable to add/remove students.
Not being able to add/remove students also knocks out analytics information in Insights.
