Group Assignments
Sometimes I like to have my students turn in their assignment as a group, so I only read and grade one paper from a group of 3 or 4 students. It would be great if Teams Assignments could support that. So that either the students or the teacher (or best them both) can choose who this assignment is for/from.
Hope it makes sense?

If this is finally implemented, I would ditch most of the other learning platforms. Currently, the lack of group assignments is a major barrier for Teams in higher education.

the lack of this feature contributes to a more cumbersome work day

As a student, this seems really fun, but I feel like the group should be able to create video and voice chats if this is implemented. It would get really confusing otherwise.

In business, we are always collaborating, but to think that we are still pushing for individual participation in the classroom is archaic. If we want to ensure our students understand how to collaborate and partner well and prepare them for higher ed as well as the job market, we need to have them working more as teams and less as individuals. Please update the application to make this a feasible option.

Assignments are typically done in small groups in vocational training. This feature would be very valuable for quickly assessing the groups.

I currently give each student group its own 'private channel' within our class 'Team'. It seems the system should be able to allow us to select "channel submission" or something like that, which would require just 1 assignment from someone in the channel (or 'from the channel' collectively) and evaluating it would be reflected on every member of the group's grade

Unsure if you mean what I need ;)
I would love to have this!
We have a role-based access control system.
The structure is quite easy:
User --(memberOf)--> Role Group (Universal Mail Enabled Security Group).
I want to add those groups as a member to teams. What I want to achieve:
roles have responsibilities and due to those the users should automatically be added (or removed) from respective Teams in MS Teams. -

Yes! I really mis this option. In It's Learning it was possible for the students to select other students before they turn it in. Thats what is meant in this suggestion.
Student assigned groups, they call it at its learning. -

Almost all assignments for our students are completed as group projects. I can't fully switch to using Teams until this is functional.

In the previous communication and collaboration platform my school used, it was possible to hand in an assignment as a group. Before handing in, the student could add all group members to the hand-in. This way it was easier for the teacher to see which students had handed in, and all group members could see the turned-in file. It would be great to have such a feature in Teams!

Why can't students see which other students share a small group assignment? To have to verbally announce which students are in which groups is a hassle. Students should be able to see which other students have that assignments, then get into small groups themselves. :( It's a simple, small thing that would save teachers some work.
