Alert students of feedback when assignment is graded.
Students need an alert telling them, or a direct link to graded assignments so they are prompted to read feedback given by a teacher. As it stands. Teachers can put feedback but students have no prompt to read that information or even know that an assignment has been graded.

Thank you all your feedback, but we have this today! When you click ‘Return’ on your student’s assignments, students will get notified directly in Teams in the Activity feed.
You can see this in action here: https://youtu.be/lKMyVPyudY0?t=94

They do not look at Activities, if it could send an email or even better a chat because they are always on that. That would be super helpful!

Yes, you can see it in Activity, but the kids NEVER look at that. I think it needs to be emailed directly to them AND if it is an incomplete assignment, it needs to be re-listed as an assignment "TO DO". Many times students turn it in half done or didn't even attach work. Relisting this in their "cache" is a great way to show students/parents, this is not done.

If this is true that you have it, my students don't get it or it is blocked. Right now, a student shared his screen and under completed, it just shows the box of the assignment and a check mark. There is no purple comment picture or the score UNTIL he clicked on the box. Why do it that way!? It should be automatic that the score and that there is a comment on an assignment show up under completed (which needs to be revamped too anyway and I voted on that elsewhere). The whole returning assignments system needs to be revamped by a teacher please!

They should have an "Assigned" section, a "Completed" section, and a "Returned" section.
Obviously the assigned section is where the assignment sits until the student works on it. When they click "Turned In" it should go into their "Completed" section. When the teacher grades it, it should go into the "Returned" section for the student. It should already have the conversation bubble there if feedback has been provided, not what is the current reality, which requires the student to click on the assignment again to read the feedback. Feedback should stand out more when students read it, aka it should show up BOLD or in Red or something so that it is more discernable with all that writing already on there. -

The activity feed notification is insufficient. Students need a "GRADED" "RETURNED FOR REVISION" and/or "SEE FEEDBACK" indicator in their Assignments page so that students are clearly notified when something needs attention.

The activity feed isn't enough. Things can easily get buried there. Students need a visual indicator when an assignment has unread feedback. This should be prominent on both the team/assignments view and the consolidated assignments view.

Teachers and students need to see this notification somewhere other than the activity feed. It needs to be a flag or change of status on the assignment. It would also help if there was an option upon return for a teacher to check a box for students to review & resubmit, and for a review. That way students who just need to read feedback can, and students who need to resubmit will see that as well.

Sorry, but the activity feed is not a helpful place for the "returned work" alert. If more assignments come, or they're tagged, in the meantime...it gets buried. There should simply be a section IN ASSIGNMENTS that says "SEE RETURNED ASSIGNMENTS AND READ FEEDBACK" Students need a hint...hint like that and one that they know they can always go to (kind of like the physical "mailbox" in an elementary classroom where students know they can go to pick up papers a teacher has graded.) I know there is a "GRADES" tab in the General channel, but students can only see the points. Could you make it possible to click back to the assignment and read feedback? That is another option. Make sense? Please make an adjustment quickly if at all possible...it's really hard to train my students to scroll down the Activity feed...because it isn't logical mixed in with everything else in the activity feed. Thank you! (There are so many similar requests like this, but the last one I saw with the most votes shared that Teams had an alert...the problem is that it isn't in a very logical place for students.)

they do get notified that an assignment was returned but there should be a notification if the teacher typed up specific feedback. In order to see that they have to open up the assignment. If they have many assignments it's annoying to have to click in to see each one.

I don't know if this has been switched off as part of a mechanism for coping with a surge in demand, but the behaviour described by @Justin Chando doesn't actually work - students do not receive anything in their activity feed when assignments are returned.

This definitely needs improvement to make it more prominent. It might work for university students but it's not obvious or simple enough for primary students. An email with the feedback and score would be good, but most importantly a bigger focus within Teams.

I'd like to see it be something more substantial than Activity feed. Such as
A) a red dot over the top of the assignments button on the left menu.
B) a teams message or email that includes the rubric & comment

I think it would be better if they can see the feedback and grade in the chat notification without having to actually CLICK on "View Assignment".

It could be an email or a Teams notification.

hour s giving my on-line earners feedback and then't even raise they have it. Because they are small, they don't remember to go back and filter through all their task and assignments. If they are notified tham they could go directly to a link to access feedback immediately.
Thank you .

Yep, this would be greatly beneficial - lots of students aren't even aware they've been given feedback.
Also the reverse: teachers should be notified when students hand in work - https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/20625613-notify-me-the-teacher-when-a-student-turns-in-an
