Upload Assignment Files Larger Than 50Mb
Our Music Tech class wants to use Assignments but we can't upload our videos as they all much larger than 50Mb. Most of our videos are at least 500Mb. Would it be possible to increase the maximum file size? Thanks :)

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We are planning to increase the limit for uploaded files in Assignments! I will be sure to update you all as this feature progresses.

This comment was in May 2020 and the upload limit is still a paltry 50mb. This is useless for all media courses.

Can we please have at least 1 GB file size enabled for assignment submissions? It seems ludicrous that I have a number of online students who struggle to use the interface of Teams, and now they have to try and manage ANOTHER process to upload a link from OneDrive.

It is important for teachers to be able to handle larger files through the Assignment tool in Teams. The formats our students use on at regular basis in their schoolwork include for instance PP-presentations with student video comments, shorter video presentations or animations, and we need an assignment tool that enables students to hand in their work without having to resort to various workarounds in order to share files.

Please increase to 1GB

It’s been over 3 years and okay, we now have 100 Mb, but this still isn’t enough in an education environment. Please increase it to 1 GB, or let admins determine the file size.

Please increase more than 100 Mb. It is not enough. It's urgent.

Hi, does anyone know if this has been resolved yet? Not ideal for media assignments, or even ones where students create long PowerPoint submissions, agree linking to OneDrive is not the best solution to this issue at all.

Can I remind everyone that using the share link option to hand in the assignments means that the student have the potential to upload or continue working after the link has been shared. Basically cheat!

I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the Teams platform for the coming school year. I teach HS mathematics course in precalculus and calculus. Everything I have managed to put together in terms of PPTx and screencast videos are easily over 50MB. On average, there's nothing meaningful that is going to be conveyed abut my subject matter in a file that is less than 50MB.
It is unacceptable that I am being prevented from attaching those sort of resources to an Assignment. I can see this issue goes back nearly 3 months. Really? When exactly are you planning to do something about this?

I noticed this feature was somewhat functional earlier in the year - large files would upload to SharePoint, just not link to the assignment correctly. I've implemented a custom solution with the Graph API, and the endpoints work fine. Can you share the reasoning behind this limit?

Can we get any information to what that limit will be increased to, and an approximate date for implementation? Anything we can give back to our users would be greatly appreciated.

The file size limit in assignments to at least 1GB, like the form upload would be great.
What would also be wonderful in the interim would be if students could upload a .zip file to the forms (since that limit can be set to 1GB). I teach computer graphics and use Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator mainly so if the .zip file type were available students could use the form to upload the assignments. because receiving 36 different links to all their drives is annoying

Yes!!! Going nuts trying to get videos from students. Even getting them to upload videos to their onedrive gives them "upload failed" message. So frustrating for everyone.

I use multiple video clips and other media to enhance my assignments, and want them available for students. I need more than 50 mb.
