Download all assignments button
Almost all schools require the ability to download assignments and upload them to district-systems, print a batch of assignments, provide them to external audits etc.
The functionality is already there (navigate to the correct document library and then click 'download').
Simply add the UI option for a teacher to do this without knowledge of SharePoint libraries.
Surely this wouldn't require too much engineering to make it happen?

really surprised that the chaps at MS responsible for Teams did not think and implement such a fundamental feature. We had Moodle earlier and it works magic on this. The only difference being no Online Class feature for Moodle. And Zoom can show 50 video screens of participants but Teams can only show 9, at its best. It hollows the reputation of MS Teams a fair bit doesn't it?
Yes, this is much needed. Google Classroom has this feature, Teams needs it too!
This would be an extremely useful function. In my subject the assignments can have many files that learners need to submit and downloading each one individually is unnecessarily tedious.
What we're doing in our school division:
1. On a Windows 10 device, sign into OneDrive for Business
2. Navigate to the Team SharePoint (Files > Open in SharePoint)
3. Navigate to Site Contents > Student Work > Submitted Files
4. Sync via OneDrive
This creates a Submitted Files folder in Windows Explorer that updates in real time when your students submit files. Folders are automatically generated per assignment.

+1 This feature would greatly improve efficiency.

If the teachers want to download all the assignments in Teams, they need to download the assignment one by one. Teams should have a button to download all the assignments in zip format.
good idea! It might be very helpfull in the future.
Very much needed, indeed. We really need to be able to download and share files in other ways than by adding members to the team. Hours of work lost on the repetitive task of... downloading assignments! :'(
It would be great to have a "Download All" button under an assignment. Currently I have to click on each student to download their submitted file. A "Download All" button that puts all files for that assignment into a zipped folder would be nice.

I can't believe I can't do this. Should be a fundamental feature. Certainly a fundamental need! Grumble!
As Sarah says below, having folders for assignments and not only for students would help. Now this tip below only makes it even more time consuming as there are multiple folders to click through to get to ONE students specific assignment once you have downloaded all students folders:
"However, as a workaround, you may try to download students works from the SharePoint. Here are the detailed steps:
1. Login to SharePoint: https://m365edu771066.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx.
2. Search for the specific class > Site contents > Student Work > Submitted Files, then press Ctrl to select multiple students works and click Download."
We used a platform called Moodle before and there I could bulk download and it even named the documents starting with each student's name! It downloaded in whatever format the students had uploaded (word, pdf etc.) This will be a dealbreaker when I give feedback to the principals on wheter we should continue with Teams + add Haldor or not!
Yes please for bulk assignment download. Teams is great from a student perspective, but lacking this key feature for teachers.

This would be great!
Additionally, it would be great if we could add a grading scale that is achievement based (A+ - E-) rather than a 'points' system currently available.
Please also add the capacity to download all associated rubrics as well.
Without bulk download it makes grading student assignments on Teams quite time consuming.
Google can do it, why not Microsoft?

Please, downloading studen assignment files in bulk would be really useful.
Bulk download of files in assignments is still missing!
