Group calendar visible in Teams with Calendar Tab in Teams
I see that a group calendar shows up in Outlook online when a group is created in Teams. Could this calendar be accessible directly from Teams?

The team is making progress on showing Office 365 group calendars in Teams. We will share more details as we have them.
Meanwhile, feel free to share what types of meetings do you create in the group calendars for classes and staff?

I use Teams for online office hours, and I'm going to be using it for synchronous classes next semester, and I get a lot of students telling me that they don't know when my office hours are. I scheduled the office hours for a public channel within our class Team, and I assume that it sent out invites -- a few students did accept or decline the invites -- but most of the students seem to have no clue that there ever was an invite. It would be great if there was a way for students to just see everything that's been schedule for them within Teams and then click right there to add the office hours to their calendar, or even for the office hours to be added to their calendars automatically unless they decide to delete it. Same thing for due dates, test days, etc.
I've been trying to teach my students the best ways to use Outlook Calendar, and how it integrates with other Microsoft products, but it's difficult if it's missing the pretty basic university functionality of "Your professor can add your class to your calendar, and when it's time for the online class, you just click the Join button right from the calendar." Or even if it only worked within the calendar in Teams, it would be an improvement.

Surely this is a common requirement - for a Microsoft Teams' Team to have an aggregated view of the availability of all members of that Team, which auto-feeds from the Outlook calendar? Yes, yes, complexities about visibility, but base this on the Outlook accesses??? And allow the availability request feature within Teams.

I would really like to be able to mandate what was on the group calendar, too, btw. Like a teacher authority to add "Test Tomorrow" to the calendar and it just shows up on their calendars without it having to be accepted.

How the **** did "Shifts" make it out the door before this?

Short of discussions, is there is anything more basic when working with a group of people than to know whether someone is in or out of the office, traveling or being able to highlight team milestones?
Amazes me that I can't go to Teams and quickly/easily (and in the same UI/UX) see that Joe is going to be out the rest of the week. Or a client installation is happening next monday.

I post reminders, deadlines, and in-person meetings to the Group calendar. I've been using the "Meet in Channel" option for Teams meetings.

We are using Google Calendar - which syncs to Outlook 2016. I would LOVE to have this carry over to TEAMS, so that each member of the team could access, add, change, delete items, so we could use TEAMS exclusively!

We would also like to see a group calendar that is visible and accessible from Teams.

It would be great to organise team meetings on a shared calendar rather than one person being the organiser

The last comment on this topic was a year ago. Are there any updates of this feature? I would love to have a Team Calendar that is NOT linked to all my other Outlook Calendars AND be able to have a separate calendar for each Team.

It would be nice if we could choose indviduals to make appointments with or select an entire group. on a shared calendar that has the option to be connected to our personal calendars or not.

Hi Warren, any update on this? A lot of teacher are looking for this! When I share the calendar using the website tab it links all my calendars which is not appropriate in an education setting. Any advice?

Create an automatic tab in Teams with a calendar! Events will be viewed by all members and have the option to add event to own personal calendar.

I want a calendar that my faculty (the team) can access and add to.

Really need this as well in my organisation, or at least parts of my organisation.
Glad you are working on it, but how come it cant be done faster - as you have the work most likely mostly done from Groups. -

There is a workaround with PowerShell, but having the option directly as a button is a big help.
