Turn in assignments on behalf of in Teams for EDU.
Teachers need a way to turn in an assignment on behalf of students who for some reason aren't able to turn it in themselves, or at least change the status to delivered.
Working on implementing this for Assignments
It would be extremally helpful to have this feature available in the Submissions GraphAPI too
e.g. allowing teachers access to the following endpoint
or alternatively something along the lines of educationFileOutcome so that it's possible to attach files to the "feedback" the students get.

I will also add my two cents for this. As a teacher, I should be able to attach a document that my student sends me to his assignment. Some students struggle with using the technology. Or, for another example, tomorrow my students are writing a chemistry test with pen and paper. I would like to scan their tests and attach them to the assignements to keep all assignments in Teams.

Just adding my voice to the many who have already posted - seems a no-brainer to me that a teacher should be able to cater for students submitting work via email attachment.

I would like to add to the calls for the ability for teachers to add work on behalf of students. This is a limitation currently.
Please please fix this Microsoft. Let us submit work into assignments on students behalf. Sometimes they email it to us etc... I need to be able to give feedback via assignments ang keep it all central. This should be an easy fix
NSW Australia are back in lockdown and teaching online. Please enable this
This is a necessary and basic function, I want to mark all work together in Teams with a rubric. Due to no fault of their own, some students need to email the work. I should have the ability to upload this to Teams.

This is an incredibly important feature. If the student has emailed but not uploaded or their computer for some reason is not working, we need to be able to upload to turnitin on their behalf. Especially in a climate of Online learning in a pandemic, where we may not be able to get in contact with the student and they are not on campus.

Teachers being able to turn in work for students who can't should be a basic function, I fully agree. My younger students often get lost in the Teams system and have a lot of trouble uploading assignments.

WORKAROUND: How a Teacher can attach work for a student in a Teams assignment.
Dependency: For these steps to work, whatever you have to submit for the student must be something you can copy and paste into a Word document.
Notes: This is time-consuming and tedious. You can decide for yourself if the result is worth the effort. I wanted to maintain an archive of my students’ work in a central place, in Teams. Some students submitted the assignment correctly through Teams and others emailed me their assignments as attachments. I found this workaround is a messy alternative to what I would have expected to be a standard feature.
This is a basic function IMHO

Being able to upload an assignment for a student to teams would be a great addition. So many are not able to upload. Also as somebody below said, it would be good if students could not see the comments I make whilst marking and only see them once I decide to return the work to them. I am currently marking work on teams, making comments on the uploaded assignments and am receiving emails from several students asking questions in regards to my comments before I have the marking finalised.
It would be a great addition to teams, please come up with a solution! Thank you.

I'd love this and also have students hand in 'group work', have them select their team-mates and hand in the work. Grading can be done on a group basis, or individually to modify the score for the one student that didn't do enough, or the one exemplary student who really did a ton.
Has anyone figured out a way to do this even though they haven't changed it?

Why is this still under review? It seems like a very straightforward solution. Please allow teachers to upload for students who are unable to access the work online and have submitted hard copies or emails!

Speaking on behalf of all teachers in Norway, where Teams' biggest LMS competitors offer it.
1. This would allow teachers to download students' assignments (another uservoice: please let us download all at once), review and give feedback to everyone's word documents time without students being able to access our comments before we choose to upload our corrected version to them.
2. This would allow us to upload students' assignments in those cases that students send to us in chat etc. It's better to have everything in one place, and students often forget.
Please please please allow this feature!! I want to be able to upload files to my students' assignments. So many reasons why this would be useful. Not least because Word just crashed while I was marking an assignment in the app. I have an autosaved copy, so would love to be able to replace this for the one the student uploaded!
I echo what others of said. We need to be able to submit work on behalf of the students for those who email to us. This would save so much time and stress, especially teaching so many students as all feedback can be directed from the same place. With their work on there for evidence!
Please add the ability to attach work to a student's assignment. I sometimes get students email me their work instead and would like to be able to attach it for them to their assignment so that all of my marking is in one place. I teach 400+ pupils and can't be searching for their work!
