change download destination
Could you please include a function to change the destination folder for downloads?
Or point me in the direction of doing it myself.
It's frustrating that they automatically do into the downloads folder.
Yes!!! I think they should add this, too

I'm really quite shocked this doesn't have way more votes since it's incredibly frustration that you don't get the basic dialogue other programs offer to choose to open the file immediately with a specific app (which is fine if it goes to downloads by default then) or a Save As option to pick the destination folder to save. It saves a bunch of extra work. Instead I have to spend time going to downloads and moving the file where I want it to live. I'm a Mac user if that matters.
This is absolutely basic and necessary!!! Please implement!!!
Which on android is not even the standard download folder but a downloads folder in com.Microsoft.Teams/files
I concur, please add this very basic thing. Now that we are all working remotely I have to use Teams and it is unfathomable how this VERY basic things is not a default feature. EVERY explorer allows for it, but somehow the modern Microsoft App doesn't have it? Come on. It is very annoying to have to go to the downloads folder every single time to grab anything I download

I constantly have to go back to the downloads folder and move the file where I want it to go. It would be much better if I could just get it in the right place the first time.
This is urgent as many my institution and others have moved everything from hard drives and C drives to cloud storage.
I just want to be able to download the students grades. The video in Team help shows an older version that had an option to choose a 'save as' option. That would be MUCH better

The C:\Users\%username%\Downloads location appears to be hard coded into the product. Even if I redirect the Downloads folder (such as used in Folder Redirection for Roaming Users) Teams does not respect the new locations within Windows. I consider this a Teams bug for Roaming scenarios.
