Assignment functions in Teams mobile app
I'm planning on using teams for classes the year. The phone app seems to be very limited. Is there a way to view assignments through the mobile app?

Thank you for your continued feedback . Please check download Teams mobile app and get assignments today . https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Manage-assignments-on-a-mobile-device-7d6846bf-6673-43fc-af24-b5fae31578aa?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

I'm hoping this comes into the app soon too. Until then, I found the workaround is to "Request Desktop Site" on the browser on the mobile device when at the "Hmm. Your browser version isn't support" page, to see all the assignments (albeit small type that the student may need to pinch/zoom to view easier). In Chrome, use the menu to choose "Request Desktop Site", and on iOS/Safari, hold down the Refresh button on the location bar, then touch "Request Desktop Site". Not the most ideal solution, but at least our students can still access assignments in Teams again.

I have just started using Teams with my Jr. High classes. I was very disappointed this morning when I discovered that my 7th graders could not access the lesson from their iPads. They primarily use mobile devices and it is difficult to organize digital assignments when they cannot access them in class. I see the message from admin posted Nov 5 2017. Any progress since then?

On Nov 5th the Assignment tab appeared on the mobile app. I tested it with a colleague and it worked fine. Next day, the tab was gone and nothing happened since then. When do we get the tab back? Since your students use mobile devices in class we urgently need that function!

Very important! Assignments functions must works on iPad. We have over 10,000 iPads and this feature can be the most important thing for the choice between Microsoft or Google.

When is assignment ready on the iPad app? Or for use in web browser? We use teams on our schools but without the ability to use assignments we night have to stop using O365.

Students prefer to use their phones with educational apps, TEAMS need to have the ASSIGNMENTS function for both iPhones and iPads. It is a must if this app is to be "educationaL" APP for O365.

Please add this as soon as possible. We were able to do this in Classroom. This is a retrograde step

We have roughly 500 iPads at our upper secondary school. All students using those iPads cannot access the assignments module using the app for iPads. This needs to be sorted quickly.

I’m a current high school student lately we’ve been having to turn in online assignments but the mobile app doesn’t have this tab. It’s hard to turn in my homework on time before midnight.

I am so close to abandoning Teams and using a different platform for my students to turn work in electronically because of this issue! Please allow students to access assignments via their mobile app! My district is insisting we use Microsoft 365 with Teams, but I may have to go "rogue" and use a different platform for students to turn in their work. So many students do not have easy access to a desktop computer with Teams, but all have access via their phones or other mobile device.
