Integrate OneNote into assignments
I'd like to be able to distribute a page into OneNote as an assignment,. Students should be able to complete the work within OneNote and mark it as submitted within onenote. I can then mark it within OneNote adding the score (to a side panel or equivalent). It feels like this new teams is not encouraging digital inking which for me is one of the major benefits of using OneNote.
Thanks for your feedback. This should be available today . Please check the blog here – https://educationblog.microsoft.com/2017/11/teams-office-365-education-updates-november/

I would also like Sway to be integrated into Assignments. I would like to have a basic template and for them to add to it and submit.
Might be easier to do this than add support to the assignments tab...
I know Microsoft is trying really hard, but these are the sort of features that are REALLY important to teachers who are already pressed for time. Linking these features should be a priority for Microsoft if they want to compete in this market. Collaboration is great, but teachers still have to track whether assignments are completed, scores, feedback, etc. Microsoft: if you really want these products to work for teachers, you need a board of REAL teachers from multiple subjects to consult with. Seriously!
Agreed. This is useful. If Microsoft create a 'mark book', or grade book which is fully linked with OneNote, that would probably be a great driver for more people to start using it.

Thank you for your suggestions. We are actively looking into classnotebook and Assignments integration within Teams

There is a disconnect in the new Microsoft Team Assignment feature and the Class Notebook. Teachers should be able to post an assignment in the Class Notebook (old make assignment icon) and it automatically show up in Assignments. Students should be able to turn in an assignment from the Class Notebook. Teachers should be able to make an assignment from the Class Notebook and it should go to Teams to notify students.
