Integrate Assignments with calendar
It would be very useful for communication with parents to get a link of the dates assignments that they can add in their Phone Calendar (or Outlook calendar,...). Students also love to be able to see that on their phone home screen. No excuses...! ;)
When an assignment is created in a class, it only shows up in the assignment tab within that class. In Classroom when an assignment was created it also showed in the students’ calendars. This would be a great addition especially if students are in multiple classes they’ll be able to see all their assignments in their calendar.
Hello wonderful educators and students! I read a report recently that nearly 750M students (of the worlds 1.6B students) attend schools that were closed in October due to the global pandemic. Please know that your Microsoft team is listening hard to the needs of this community.
Regarding assignments integration with Calendar, we have made significant progress and look forward to making this available everyone as soon as possible.
It is very hard for students to keep track of their assignments. The interface under Assignments is useless, as is provides no overview (if I want to see assignments per subject, I can go directly to teams, there is no advantage to going through Assignments). In the calendar, I could at least see the assignments as they come up.
Do you know when this function will be available in Teams?
Could you please answer - what is your timeline for delivering this feature?
We have homeschooling NOW and not in years (hope so) ... so we need the functionality NOW.
Btw ... appreciate your efforts
How do I integrate my assignment with my calendar??
May I ask where are you at with this please since the first suggestion was made back in 2017?
During these tiring times, for us parents it would so helpful to have all assignment dates incorporated in the calendar. It has become so hectic and tiring to keep up with all the work of all the children being both young ones and those in their teens.
Super good idea especially for kids with time management issues! Thank you for working on it.

Awesome idea. Great to hear Justin's team are onto it. This will help out students alot.
The actual teams calendar is rather primitive and lack color etc. So whilst your at if you could spruce that up too it would be great.
For teachers that are in only 6 or less subjects it will also help them.
For someone like me adding assignments to my calendar might make my already unreadable calendar even worse!
I'm in hundreds of teams accross the school and there's no way to unsubscribe to channel meetings. As an owner

Without a timeline or assignments showing up in the calendar it is impossible to keep an overview over your tasks, It's really FRUSTRATING that Microsoft hasn't implemented this for years now! Couldn't you just mix Planner and Assignments?!
I thought this was available and has been removed recently? Students need a single list of all their assignments. It causes a lot of distress because they miss due dates as they are forever scrolling through different TEAMS. There is a weekly parent/guardian email facility that tells parents what assignments have been set and are due the following week, so TEAMS is able to pull all the assignments for one student into a single place. Please can that be made available to the students!
Linking assignments to the calendar is essential for student organization.

Thank you for working on it is it also possible to give students a global view so they can see a list of all assignment due by date or it’s hard for them to keep track.

A timeline on when this feature will be added would be helpful. Can you provide this?
Integration of assignment with todo would also be fantastic
go and use google classroom :)
Yes, this would be very useful.

At least add a Flow connector for assignments!
This would be so good.
Adding the assignments to calendars means that the loop will be complete.
Also a teacher overview of tasks due this week or added to our calendar would be useful. These items should not change our status to busy as they are just background 'tasks'
