Integrate Assignments with calendar
It would be very useful for communication with parents to get a link of the dates assignments that they can add in their Phone Calendar (or Outlook calendar,...). Students also love to be able to see that on their phone home screen. No excuses...! ;)
When an assignment is created in a class, it only shows up in the assignment tab within that class. In Classroom when an assignment was created it also showed in the students’ calendars. This would be a great addition especially if students are in multiple classes they’ll be able to see all their assignments in their calendar.
Hello wonderful educators and students! I read a report recently that nearly 750M students (of the worlds 1.6B students) attend schools that were closed in October due to the global pandemic. Please know that your Microsoft team is listening hard to the needs of this community.
Regarding assignments integration with Calendar, we have made significant progress and look forward to making this available everyone as soon as possible.

Please also integrate assignments with To Do so that each assignment creates a new task with subtasks, due dates, reminders, etc. Managing remote learning for two kids (kindergarten and 3rd) while also working remotely leaves lots of room for parent oversight. This option would make tracking our kids' assignments so much easier and would enable us to set reminder notifications.
On a side note: I'm surprised this hasn't been completed and rolled out yet, since it's been in the "Working On It" phase since May 2020. Granted, I don't know how long these things take to develop. I'm not feeling confident that we'll see it rolled out before the school year ends. :-(

FYI to everyone waiting for this, I just noticed in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap that this has been moved to May 2021 from February, which had been January and before that October along with all of the updates and promises here. I am starting to feel like Charlie Brown with Lucy and the football.
WhEn will this be ready
I need this update pls update teams
Still nothing. Conclusion: Education is, in fact, not a priority for MS. Prove me wrong.
Or even better, with Microsoft To Do
The last admin update to this post was on November 12 2020. Do we have an update as to when this integration will come into play? At present, assignments is too standalone and Teams are too independently run and cumbersome for a student to move between one by one and check all their assignments. I look forward to hearing back from you. Schools are thinking about what systems to have in place for their next academic year (with yearly subscriptions) and without this as a viable option, it will cause many to look elsewhere.
MS Teams Assignments not showing Western Calendar on posts when make Teams App settings as Arabic language this happen when create new assignment .. is showing Arabic calendar on post.. I hope this feature available on next update
Are assignments going to be linked to the new "Channel Calendar" feature app?

This would be an absolute game changer. We are currently getting our students to install Outlook, Office and Teams apps on their home devices as a whole school push. To be able to set 'assignments' where the deadline syncs with their calendar would be the dream ... I am sure they will do this, its a no brainer
It would be really usefull for both students and teachers to integrate teh assignments in calendar. students would have a big help in their organization and could better control the deadlines!!
hopefully it willbe possible soon!

1) Students should be able to drag assignments around a bit (never pushing them back beyond due date, or before now). By default, putting them on the calendar the day BEFORE due date would be ideal (with an exception for an overnight task)
2) If a task is not marked as complete and the deadline is passed, students should be prompted 'is this done, if so mark as complete; if not - hand it in!'
3) A 'request extension' button for the student would be nice!
4) It'd be good if a teacher could set a 'mark by' date which would inform how things were displayed on THEIR calendar/task list... if using a task list model, then de-emphasise until due date is past.
5) Also, default dates are good, e.g. For THIS class, work is ALWAYS due on thursday and must be marked by 6pm Friday. For THAT class, if set on weds, default is due friday, if set on monday, default is due weds (Etc)
Sur Skype, le parametrage permet de fixer la periode a l'issu de laquelle le statut change en "absent", dommage de ne pas avoir prevu le meme parametrage pour Teams.

We should make a UV to just turn Teams into Canvas :D
