It would be absolutely awesome if you could incorporate the current OneDrive mobile app's function to markup PDF files stored in "files"
This would be a brilliant feature to add as the majority of students upload a pdf and jpegs
Would love markup on a pdf. Fantastic addition

it is essential to have pdf markup. most students are submitting pdf file.
please update the feature
That feature would be awesome, as my Students hand in PDF generated from an Accounting software. It would be nice if i could comment and annotate directly in the PDF
Yes, we need this features: Annotate PDFs in Teams for students to ink or annotate the worksheets and for teachers to correct the student's work

I agree, I think this is necessary for pdf file in assignments (directly there in Teams, not downloading and then uploading): see also this https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/40140295-improve-teacher-feedback-on-assignments-zoom-rot
When you view a students work in a pdf you cannot annotate it in teams or online, but you can download it and annotate. However it doesn't save your annotations/reupload them so the student can see, like it does in microsoft word.
Is there a way to be able to reupload the annotations to their pdf or integrate Adobe so that you correct an assignment which has a pdf in it.
If a student annotates a pdf in adobe reader on an ipad and uploads it to assignments it wont show up in the preview when the teacher goes to assess it. Instead it has to be downloaded first to see the annotation.
Interestingly it works perfectly fine if it is annotated in adobe reader and uploaded from a computer/laptop.
If this can be fixed it would make our marking time alot quicker, especially being that many students use ipads.

Please add this feature.
Actually I have to download the pdf to my iPad.
Add my handwriten comments an corrections and then I have to send it to the student in a private chat as I can't upload the commented pdf in the feedback section
Very true. I have uploaded all my assignments as PDF files. Having to download them, use PDF annotator, them upload them again is too much.

Please give teachers the ability to annotate on top of a submitted PDF in Microsoft Teams! This is necessary to give informative feedback and the current process is incredibly cumbersome.
Our MS uses iPads and many of the assignments have to transfer from the iOS app back to Teams as a PDF through OneDrive. Adding hte ability to write on top of a PDF woudl be HUGE for teachers.

've recently started using teams. My students submitted their own assignments to me as a PDF file under assignments. Now it would be very important and useful if I could edit the PDF file with my pen instead of just writing a short feedback. In OneDrive I can edit PDFs with my pen without any problems. Why is this not possible with such an important function as task correction?
our uservoice covers exactly what you
re asking for

Many of the textbook resources available to teachers are in,pdf format. Teachers need the capability of adding .pdf worksheets to a teams assignment so that students can open the assignment in Teams and edit, ink, annotate on the pdf worksheet. Unfortunately, teachers are only able to add certain office file types to assignments with the option to allow students to edit the file. While some teachers are able to convert the pdf file to a word document, many teachers are not comfortable with this process or don't like to do this because pdf documents don't always convert nicely to word docs. This would be a huge help for all math, science, and social studies teachers that need students to fill in worksheets that are in pdf format.
The new Office app for Android has the capability to annotate pdf files without having to leave the application. This type of feature in Teams would be amazing for teachers and students

Or even if it could be attached to an assignment as student work and then they could turn in the marked-up version.
the student may upload pdf or image in the team assignment.
However, I cannot write anything on the top of PDF and image file
In other systems, we can handwrite (mark) on the pdf and image file
How can I use hand writing method to mark PDF or IMAGE doc attached in team assignment
I teach Computer Applications and the desktop version and online version are not compatible. Therefore, I cannot grade many assignments and must download everything my students do.
EX: When students insert a header in the desktop version, it doesn't show up on Teams
EX: When students set tabs in the desktop version, they are erased in teams
EX: Borders set in desktop version disappear when I try to grade in teams
EX: Custom bullet points disappear on teams.
Is there any way that preview from desktop version could happen? Or do they have to save everything as a PDF too? Canvas shows the desktop version when grading.
