Same functionality as regular Class Notebook
I've set up several class notebooks through both onenote and now in teams. I can't see where I can have a teacher only area in the ones created through teams. Second area of concern is using the class notebook addin in onenote 2016 to edit notebooks created in teams. Lastly I set up a staff notebook in both apps to see the differences. I cannot see the different sections through the teams site on either (I linked my other staff notebook) notebook. So questions are these items still being added?
This feature request has been completed and released to the public!! :)

We are just beginning to roll out MS office 365. We do not have student e-mail to use 365 as we have to update our infrastructure before we can roll out 365 fully. In the meantime we are trying to train staff and get them prepared. There has been a debate on what we should prepare teachers with first. Should we roll out teams or notebook?

Great that you continue to add features, any info on when we can expect parent and guardian links to be available in class notebooks created within Teams?
I had a tip from Pontus Vesterberg. Use the original category names that a Classbook gets at the start. If you had changed them, OneNote can't find the correct information it needs. I had changed them for my younger non-English speaking pupils and the notebooks apparantly stopped working from that point on. As I changed the original names back everything went back to normal (I did reload the classroom addin also, but I'm not sure that was essential).

Is this also going to be available on the iPad Teams application?
I'm having the same problem

I seem to have this update because I can use fullscreen and see the Class Notebook settings. However, if from within teams I click the class notebook tab and then select Manage Notebooks it takes me here: https://www.onenote.com/classnotebook/notebook-links. On this page it tells me: "No class notebooks have been created yet." I have 10 Teams Class Notebooks that should be visible. What am I missing?

I definitely need a way to implement the teacher-only workspace! I use that for tracking notes and other information that students cannot/should not have access to (attendance, answers to questions/problems, grading issues, etc.)

Class Notebook tool: change the distribute page feature to keep page/subpage structure when distributing multiple pages to students.
Currently, all subpages are "promoted" to the standard page level when they are distributed to students.
One of our schools has started using Teams, but the teachers are experiencing some troubles in the Class Notebook from Teams.
When they open the Class Notebook from Teams in OneNote desktop version, the only options under "Distribute Page" is "Cross Notebook Distribution". If they choose this, the Class Notebook from Teams is missing as an option to distribute to.
We tried with a Class Notebook NOT created in Teams - the options under "Distribute *Page" includes all the sections in the Class Notebook as well as "Individual and Group Distribution".
It seems OneNote doesn't recognize Class Notebooks from Teams as a Class Notebook?
Please can you enable use of Class Notebook add in in terms of setting assignments for CN's created in Microsoft Teams. I have used 'Assignments' settings in Teams itself but integration would be useful. Thanks Sophie

Still waiting on some updates for this too. But at least now there is a link in the Teams Class Notebook tab for Edit Notebook> Edit in Browser, so that the students can quickly open the Class Notebook in another browser tab to see all sections (they may be working on a computer without OneNote desktop installed). However - that 'Edit in Notebook' feature worked yesterday and today it doesn't, so maybe they're doing more work on it. Opening https://www.onenote.com/classnotebook/notebook-links shows the Teams notebook where I can add the Teacher-only section now, but it still doesn't show the Parent link generator.

The only section I can see on my Teams interface with OneNote is the Welcome page. I have all the normal functionality on my Desktop version of the same Notebook. Can you make the Teams interface the same as OneNote Online?

Things that are great:
* SDS auto-populates students in the Teams Class Notebook
Things that I hope get addressed:
* Ability to create small group tabs in the Collaboration space
Things I'm not sure about yet:
* Does creating a new NB in Teams send an email to the students?
* Does SDS auto add a student to a notebook if they are added to the class?
* Does SDS delete students who drop the class?
I'd love to use Teams in my classes, but the fragmentary OneNote integration prevents me from doing so. Full sections support would be much appreciated.

Thank you all for the feedback on this. We are actively working on this in Teams engineering. In the meantime, you can open the Class and/or Staff notebook in desktop OneNote. Stay tuned for updates!
Agreed. If it is not possible, scrap the "Class Notebook" tab and have it open directly in desktop when it's clicked.

In addition to this, when viewing a Class Notebook in the Teams app you can only see the 'Welcome' section. I can't see a way of navigating to the other sections without using the 'Open in Desktop' option which seems against the whole point of having it in the Teams app in the first place.

Thank you for your feedback. We are actively working to bring Classnotebook settings into Teams. This will enable you to do the above functionality
I've been in touch with Teams support for an loading error of the class notebook's welcome page and for inaccessibility of ANY sections in the notebook. I can confirm that the full functionality of OneNote within Teams is still being implemented. No time-frame for completion available.
