LTI Integration
With Teams replacing Class Notebook, there is a focus to use this in Education. If Teams worked with LTI, it would allow Learning Management Systems such as Moodle and Canvas to assign users to a Team through direct single sign on. This creates a more seamless experience for students and decreases the amount of admin needed to get them in.
Further to this, each group inside an LMS could be given a separate team or private channel in Teams to Collaborate. This would be massively beneficial for Education.

Great Idea! Access to additional files from Teams / sharepoint with additional permission settings (private channel for teachers or groups). Managing working groups in teams is so much easier than in Canvas due to the connected assignments you cant change group settings during the course.

As we use Canvas also for our in-school information/trainings, it would be great to be able to link MS teams and shared folders where we have all our school documents.

Does anybody know if there is the possibility to start interactiv excercises via LTI connection via MS Teams? We do this with Moodle via "Adding a new external tool to a course" (https://docs.moodle.org/36/en/External_tool_settings) Does a similar posibility excits with MS Teams? Thanks in advance?

For us the ability to integrate teams into Canvas sites would provide some excellent additional features. Support concept of being able to automatically create a teams group in Canvas populated with the same members/roles as the Canvas course site.

Our organisation uses Blackboard and Office365, we'd see an LTI integration between these two services as a real step change and an enabler. As it would greatly increase the adoption of Teams as part of Learning and Teaching.
Would a MS person be able provide an update of the 'under review' status.

Our institution is pursuing a "learning ecosystem," that involves CANVAS and Office 365. The capabilities in Teams MAY be an excellent CANVAS "Conference," and or "Collaboration" platform. Google G-Suite is not an option for our institution, so Teams MAY be a significant increase in current operations.

Agree with previous comment that Canvas' collaboration tools are very unsatisfying compared to Teams. Our organisation uses both Canvas and Office365 and it would be great to get further integration.

Would add my vote to an LTI integration that created teams on-demand based on the Course or Group that initiated. LTI provides the Course & Group ID, them members could be added automatically as they click the link to enter the teamsite.
