  1. reply to messages

much like whatsapp where you can reply to a specific message and that particular message will be quoted alongside the reply. Also the function to reply privately to a message sent in a group setting would be helpful

Thank you for your patience. We are thrilled to that replying to a chat message in the desktop client is now available as part of our Public Preview. It is expected to roll out to the public ring over the next several weeks.

Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-quoted-reply-for-desktop-web-coming-soon/td-p/2761594

For details on switching to the Microsoft Teams Public Preview version, please see : https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview.

We look forward to your preview feedback!

  2. Multiple Organizers and Presenters for Breakout Rooms

Some classes have multiple teachers (ex: IC settings) therefore a team can have multiple teachers assigned to the course. Currently there is only one organizer AKA one person who can start the meeting and now only one person who can implement and monitor breakout rooms. It would be fantastic to have anyone identified as a "presenter" have the ability to create/monitor breakout rooms. I know there is already a vote for multiple presenters so I guess this has two requests in one?

  3. Pre-Assign Students to Breakout Rooms

Could there be a feature where teachers can pre-assign (before the class starts) students to groups based on the invited attendees list. Currently, you have to wait for students to enter the main meeting and then assign each one to a room or randomly assign, which can be challenging when implementing roles or differentiation activities.

  4. MacOS notifications?

Please could you implement notifications at the OS level on Mac? Then the app will respect system-wide settings and I won't miss most notifications.
