Unmuting a student
I love the 'mute all' option, but working with young kids, it is sometimes difficult for them to find the unmute button. It would be helpful as a teacher to be able to unmute a student.

People with hands raised should be listed in the order they raised their hands, not alphabetically
In accordance with Robert's Rules of Order, I would like it if people who raised their hands were listed in the order that they raised their hands, so that I can take questions or comments in the order that they arose. I have noticed meeting organizers sometimes give undue attention to people whose names come first in the alphabet because of the way the names are listed currently.

Assignments hand-in no work or blank work
Teachers are assigning work for students to complete. But students are handing in assignments with no work or blank work.
Can the Hand-In button be disabled if students have not uploaded anything or added to the resources they have been provided.
Part of schools working remotely is trying to keep a track of which students are not completing work. Then calling parents to discuss this. Making it so that students can hand in an assignment without having done anything makes checking very difficult.419 votes -
Increase maximum meeting participants to 500
Currently, meetings are limited to 250 participants.
We have several departments within our organization containing 250-500 employees.
Because the current Teams meeting maximum size is 250, we use other applications to host meetings for these departments.
We would like to be able to use Teams for these larger group meetings.
Please increase the number of participants in meetings to 500.408 votesWe are expanding the limit for Teams meetngs from 300 to 1,000 active participates. Similarly, we are including a view-only experience for up to 20,000 people. For more information on the Advance Comms SKU which will include this experience, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-add-on-licensing/advanced-communications.

Multiple Organizers and Presenters for Breakout Rooms
Some classes have multiple teachers (ex: IC settings) therefore a team can have multiple teachers assigned to the course. Currently there is only one organizer AKA one person who can start the meeting and now only one person who can implement and monitor breakout rooms. It would be fantastic to have anyone identified as a "presenter" have the ability to create/monitor breakout rooms. I know there is already a vote for multiple presenters so I guess this has two requests in one?

LTI Integration
With Teams replacing Class Notebook, there is a focus to use this in Education. If Teams worked with LTI, it would allow Learning Management Systems such as Moodle and Canvas to assign users to a Team through direct single sign on. This creates a more seamless experience for students and decreases the amount of admin needed to get them in.
Further to this, each group inside an LMS could be given a separate team or private channel in Teams to Collaborate. This would be massively beneficial for Education.
385 votesThanks to all of your feedback and thanks to our partners and their tireless efforts, we’ve made it possible for you to now set up a Microsoft Teams meeting for your online classroom directly from within your learning management system (LMS).
This new capability allows you to quickly enable remote learning for your students and faculty by bringing the power of Teams directly into your LMS. We already have integrations launched across the world’s top LMSs; Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, and itsLearning!
Learn more about these new integrations and get started today here; https://educationblog.microsoft.com/en-us/2020/03/microsoft-teams-meeting-creation-now-available-in-canvas-blackboard-schoology-brightspace-and-itslearning/
The best part is this is only the beginning because as Teams evolves, we’ll continue to improve our LMS integrations as well. Thank you!

Late Assignment Submission Notification
Hello,
Thanks for allowing resubmission. As a teacher I would like to be notified when a student submits an assignment after a scheduled deadline. This would help with knowing when students resubmit assignments after deadlines and when students have submitted work late.

Live Parent Access to Assignment Details
The parent digest isn't enough for most of our parents, they want to be able to see the data on any day of the week.
The ability to log in (or have an app) and only see homework activities set every day (the ability, ie a tick box, to identify homework vs classwork activities would be ideal) to keep track of assignments is needed.
At the moment we have to use another app for this which doubles up on admin and means we are writing in one tool that the work is in Teams.

Alert students of feedback when assignment is graded.
Students need an alert telling them, or a direct link to graded assignments so they are prompted to read feedback given by a teacher. As it stands. Teachers can put feedback but students have no prompt to read that information or even know that an assignment has been graded.
353 votesThank you all your feedback, but we have this today! When you click ‘Return’ on your student’s assignments, students will get notified directly in Teams in the Activity feed.

pdf markup
It would be absolutely awesome if you could incorporate the current OneDrive mobile app's function to markup PDF files stored in "files"

Add the "specific people" or "owners" option to who can bypass the lobby.
For education, there can be multiple teachers (owners) of a class page, but only the person who scheduled the meeting can bypass the lobby or way too many people (students) can bypass it. My co-teacher and I would like to both be able to bypass it. Having the "specific" people option like in the "Who can present" drop down would help immensely.

Letter grades (A+, A, A-) and customization
Teams for Education Assignments and Grading
I would like to see letter grades (e.g. A+, A, A- etc.) and an option for grading and not just numbers. If we could customise it (e.g. choose the grade range), even better/345 votes -
Live event concurrency
Increase the number of concurrent live events to more than 15 per tenant - required to enable large cohort remote teaching which is a massive priority for universities at the time of the Coronavirus worldwide incident.
Universities will often have more than 15 large lectures running at the same time and increasing the number of live events to 30 or 45 will allow universities and colleges to remotely teach large numbers concurrently
342 votesThis feature request is being reviewed by the feature team. No new details to share at this time.
Meanwhile, feel free to share why you need this in schools and universities. And if increasing number of participants in a meeting (see another UV feedback below) would solve your need: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053/suggestions/36681970

Pre-Assign Students to Breakout Rooms
Could there be a feature where teachers can pre-assign (before the class starts) students to groups based on the invited attendees list. Currently, you have to wait for students to enter the main meeting and then assign each one to a room or randomly assign, which can be challenging when implementing roles or differentiation activities.

Hard disable students video during a meeting (so they cannot turn on their cams)
I want a button to do hard block on all video feeds from participants. The setting you have now can be overridden by participants. There is risk of them showing inappropriate body shots or material.

Teacher Upload Student's Assignment
Teachers should be able to upload a student's work that has been submitted via an alternate method (e.g. email or even a scan of a paper copy) to the review section in Teams. This allows for teachers to store all information about an assignment in one place. It will also remove the annoying calculation of those who have and haven't handed the work in, which to an external eye makes it look like students aren't completing work.

EDU: We need to have more control for "join link" in "Meeting settings" in the "Microsoft Teams admin center".
In edu organisations - from security reasons - we need a new feature to restrict informations about scheduled online meeting only to really invited attendees.
At this time we can control anonymous acces, set lobby, set presenters role but we can't control inviting people process to meetings (students to lessons) because links to planned meetings is visible to all on groups canals, in calendars, etc. This is also sending via mails to people in invited teams so it is poor security indeed to rely on that this link never leaking.
To have control of it we need on "Email invitation"…

Set a countdown timer for an Assignment
According to current features, opening and closing times & dates can be set for an assignment. It is very useful that if we can set a timer to an assignment. As an example, if we make the assignment available for students from morning 6.00 am to evening 6.00 pm, But the time allocated for the students to complete the assessment is only one hour. so, When ever the students open the Assessment within the available time, a count down timer begins, and what ever they have done is saved automatically and submitted automatically at the end of one hour or…
