Improve teacher feedback on assignments: zoom, rotate, write on image/pdf, upload file...
It would be very useful, for a teacher, to have the following features when working with assignments - in addition to the already present "feedback" option:
- zoom and rotate also images, not only .pdf;
- write or draw (make annotations) on images and .pdf files;
- upload a file (image, pdf, office doc,...) together with the feedback - for instance, I could write something in the feedback and then upload a file with the complete solution of a given excercise.
These features could save a teacher a lot of time and, at the same time, make the feedbacks much more effective for…

Accumulated score without the need to manipulate the excel file
It would be very useful to know the points accumulated per student and the total possible points. It is too cumbersome to download the Excel file and start filtering the score of each activity to make the total sum of points and, furthermore, it is too difficult to know what the total points awarded to all activities are. Thus, if there were 30 activities during a school term and the total of points is 4550, it is too laborious: 1) to know the final score (4550) without having to download the Excel file and find the maximum score for each…

Auto-save Quiz, Have Quiz timer and auto submit the form when timer ends
If we have a timed quiz in Teams, the student has no option of knowing how much time is left. When the deadline passes, the student has no option of submitting the form and looses all points.
There should be a visible timer / clock showing how much time is left before submission
If the student has the form open, at the end of the clock, the form should be auto submitted with the answers that were already given/selected
There should be an auto save option for the form, in case the student needs to reload the page/looses connectivity, so…

Live Parent Access to Assignment Details
The parent digest isn't enough for most of our parents, they want to be able to see the data on any day of the week.
The ability to log in (or have an app) and only see homework activities set every day (the ability, ie a tick box, to identify homework vs classwork activities would be ideal) to keep track of assignments is needed.
At the moment we have to use another app for this which doubles up on admin and means we are writing in one tool that the work is in Teams.

Add editable PDF to assignment
Add the possibility to add a editable PDF as ressource of a assignment AND o be able to edit a PDF file (editable pdf form) Now only MS documents such as Word, Excel etc. are editable by students. Editable PDF forms can't be changed by students. Words

Assignments hand-in no work or blank work
Teachers are assigning work for students to complete. But students are handing in assignments with no work or blank work.
Can the Hand-In button be disabled if students have not uploaded anything or added to the resources they have been provided.
Part of schools working remotely is trying to keep a track of which students are not completing work. Then calling parents to discuss this. Making it so that students can hand in an assignment without having done anything makes checking very difficult.415 votes -
Set a countdown timer for an Assignment
According to current features, opening and closing times & dates can be set for an assignment. It is very useful that if we can set a timer to an assignment. As an example, if we make the assignment available for students from morning 6.00 am to evening 6.00 pm, But the time allocated for the students to complete the assessment is only one hour. so, When ever the students open the Assessment within the available time, a count down timer begins, and what ever they have done is saved automatically and submitted automatically at the end of one hour or…

Allow Teachers to changing assignment status.
Make it so Teachers can change the students assignment status. Student marks assignment as Turned In, but it has not actually been Turned In. Give us the ability to change that instead of the student.

View all assignments under assignments tab
Under the assignment tab there should be a place where I can see all my assignments, and be able to filter between completed ones and outstanding assignments. The assignments should also be in chronological order. This would be very helpful, thanks.

Be able to rotate and zoom in on images submitted in the assignments tab
When students upload images of their work under the assignments tab, make it possible for the teacher to be able to rotate and zoom in on the image within Teams. Without having to download it to their computer.

All assignments at a glance
Instead of having to search for the assignments in each subject, it would be useful to have a list for the students of all the future deadlines of the assignments (In a chronological order), so they can see at a glance what they need to do next.

Verbal Feedback - Voice function in Assignments
Many teachers who use the Google Classroom platform are praising the availability of Mote - an option to click and give verbal feedback on individual assignments.
This would be a major game changer if an icon was placed next to the feedback box for teachers to click and record a voice message.27 votes -
Quiz form - the number of points should not be limited to integers
In quiz form, the number of points should not be limited to integers. There is often need to use 0.5 points or 1.5 points ... to appropriately assess the answer. I think, many users would appreciate such change.

It would be nice if the student have more upload capacity in the assigments
For most assignments, the upload capacity for a student in assignments is sufficient with 100MB.
However, for some assignments this is too limited.
It would be nice to increase this upload capacity like this for teachers.94 votes -
Use a group tag to assign an assignment
In order to assign differentiated tasks or a task to an individual class in a team with multiple classes, we should have the ability to use a Tag to select students instead of having to select them all individually.
This will also mean that if we need to assign assessment notifications and task to the cohort:
- one teacher can quickly create the tasks for each class individually
- each classes teacher and then monitor their class and quickly chase up who hasn't viewed/ submitted items by set dates without having to scroll through all of the students.

Allow assignments to be handed in using the camera feature
At the moment, camera scanning only allows users to send documents to channels or to chats. There should also be a feature allowing assignments to be handed in using the camera scanning

View all assignments from across teams
Currently, in the assignments tab, you must select a class to view assignments. However, if you are in many different teams, you may want to view assignments from all classes in one menu (with no additional clicks needed), so that you don't accidentally miss any.
Example:
Currently, in the assignments tab, you click on each class to view assignmentsWhat I propose:
Add a slider, named "View all assignments", that when checked, shows all assignments that have not been completed on this one screen.58 votes -
Notify a student when an assignment has been returned so that they review the feedback given by a teacher.
Many younger students do not open returned assignments and miss important feedback like:
* Redo the task/sections
*Submit corrections, etc...
If a notification were sent to individual students that their Mathematics task was returned with feedback this would be a great help.46 votes -
Ease of use for primary grades
Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students don’t create documents often, so if under add work they had the ability to add an image (and have Teams access the camera to take the image right there), add a recording (and have teams access the camera and microphone to capture a video) or add an audio file (and have teams access the microphone to capture the audio), this would truly be life changing to make this tool manageable for the little kids. I know that older students would benefit from these tools too, but it would be amazing to make this meaningful…

See all the assignments for an individual student across multiple teams.
I wish for a teacher to be able to see all the assignments for an individual student across multiple teams. This would be especially useful to a form tutor (US: home-room tutor?) or pastoral lead (US: counsellor?). Ability to filter by date range would make the number of assignments visible at any one time manageable. This would allow a tutor to monitor a student's overall workload and see their progress.
