Download attendance list in a Teams meeting
Download an attendance list from a Teams meeting
2,354 votesThank you for the feedback and waiting for this feature with patience. We have enabled download of a meeting attendance list during a meeting. This is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy.
See documentation for this feature here: https://support.office.com/article/download-attendance-reports-in-teams-ae7cf170-530c-47d3-84c1-3aedac74d310
Note: We are continuing to work on enabling download after a meeting has concluded, as well.
Thanks.

Make this a camera option for insecure middle schoolers!!!
I teach in a middle school, and we are using Microsoft Teams for virtual learning synchronous instruction. It is going very well except for one thing. None (or very few) of the middle school students want to turn on their camera. We beg, plead, cajole, but nothing helps. They turn it on when I meet with them privately or in small groups, just not in class. So, this is my suggestion: You make it possible to allow the students to see the teacher and the teacher to see the students, but the STUDENTS CANNOT SEE EACH OTHER. If teachers have…

Ability to record meetings in private channels
Holding meetings in private channels is really useful (students don't need to know when instructional staff is meeting), but I want the ability to record them like I can in a general channel. Recording 1-1 meetings would also be helpful to international students who could then review them.

We need an "enable original sound" option.
Sustained sound gets cancelled out as a background sound. Extended ranges of our instruments also gets cancelled out. Music teachers need these sounds, so we need an option to disable the microphone's normal settings that are written to focus the on the speaking voice.

block calls between students but allow teachers to call students and students to call teachers within an allotted time of day
There is a feature to block students from calling but this disables them from calling the teacher. They need to be able to call the teacher as well as the teacher to call them. There also needs to be a guideline time in place so that students could not call teachers at 3am. So restricting calls between the hours of 8am-8pm for example. Not that the teacher is required to pick up all of those hours but the would prohibit the student from times outside of the window.

Unmuting a student
I love the 'mute all' option, but working with young kids, it is sometimes difficult for them to find the unmute button. It would be helpful as a teacher to be able to unmute a student.

People with hands raised should be listed in the order they raised their hands, not alphabetically
In accordance with Robert's Rules of Order, I would like it if people who raised their hands were listed in the order that they raised their hands, so that I can take questions or comments in the order that they arose. I have noticed meeting organizers sometimes give undue attention to people whose names come first in the alphabet because of the way the names are listed currently.

Increase maximum meeting participants to 500
Currently, meetings are limited to 250 participants.
We have several departments within our organization containing 250-500 employees.
Because the current Teams meeting maximum size is 250, we use other applications to host meetings for these departments.
We would like to be able to use Teams for these larger group meetings.
Please increase the number of participants in meetings to 500.407 votesWe are expanding the limit for Teams meetngs from 300 to 1,000 active participates. Similarly, we are including a view-only experience for up to 20,000 people. For more information on the Advance Comms SKU which will include this experience, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-add-on-licensing/advanced-communications.

Add the "specific people" or "owners" option to who can bypass the lobby.
For education, there can be multiple teachers (owners) of a class page, but only the person who scheduled the meeting can bypass the lobby or way too many people (students) can bypass it. My co-teacher and I would like to both be able to bypass it. Having the "specific" people option like in the "Who can present" drop down would help immensely.

Live event concurrency
Increase the number of concurrent live events to more than 15 per tenant - required to enable large cohort remote teaching which is a massive priority for universities at the time of the Coronavirus worldwide incident.
Universities will often have more than 15 large lectures running at the same time and increasing the number of live events to 30 or 45 will allow universities and colleges to remotely teach large numbers concurrently

Meanwhile, feel free to share why you need this in schools and universities. And if increasing number of participants in a meeting (see another UV feedback below) would solve your need: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053/suggestions/36681970

Pre-Assign Students to Breakout Rooms
Could there be a feature where teachers can pre-assign (before the class starts) students to groups based on the invited attendees list. Currently, you have to wait for students to enter the main meeting and then assign each one to a room or randomly assign, which can be challenging when implementing roles or differentiation activities.

Hard disable students video during a meeting (so they cannot turn on their cams)
I want a button to do hard block on all video feeds from participants. The setting you have now can be overridden by participants. There is risk of them showing inappropriate body shots or material.

EDU: We need to have more control for "join link" in "Meeting settings" in the "Microsoft Teams admin center".
In edu organisations - from security reasons - we need a new feature to restrict informations about scheduled online meeting only to really invited attendees.
At this time we can control anonymous acces, set lobby, set presenters role but we can't control inviting people process to meetings (students to lessons) because links to planned meetings is visible to all on groups canals, in calendars, etc. This is also sending via mails to people in invited teams so it is poor security indeed to rely on that this link never leaking.
To have control of it we need on "Email invitation"…

Education allow uploading to stream for A1
A recent changed announced for A1 and A1 Plus users means that meeting recordings won't be uploaded to Stream automatically. Instead the video will be available for download in the chat window.
As a school we've used meeting recordings for every online lesson which has allowed students not in the lessons itself to watch back content. Downloading a 1 hour lesson on a phone for example isn't acceptable. Meaning this change will make use of online lessons for our students a lot more difficult. Please consider holding back this change until you can offer a choice on ending the meeting/recording…

Need option that can switch record modes from organizer to participants.
Need option to switch record modes. Organizers should have the option to easily control who end up on recordings for meetings. Its not always that you need 9 faces on the screen especially as a teacher I need to have recordings that I can share with students if they missed my session with only me as the presenter on the screen. There should be some type of toggle that should easily control the outgoing recorded video.

Monitor ALL breakout rooms
Would love to have the ability to view ALL active breakout rooms in a channel and to be able to monitor them and with one click of a button, listen in. This will make it easier to encourage a safe and open discussion :)

Attendance list
When downloading the attendance list, it would be nice if the first and last name were separated into their own column. This would allow the teacher to sort by either first name or last name making it much faster and easier to take attendance. This would allow for more instruction time with the students as every minute is important.

Record the whiteboard during a live meeting
During a live Teams meeting, you can use the Whiteboard, but it doesn't record. For classroom purposes, this makes it difficult for students who go back to watch the lesson later. They can't see what was done on the Whiteboard.
