  1. Show more than 4 videos of multiple participants in a meeting/call and change video layouts in Team Meeting - ie, 5+1, 9+1, 2x2, 8+2 etc

    I would like to be able to see video from all participants in a meeting/ call at the same time. Currently in a Teams call, we can only see a few participants video stream even if there are many more on the call.

    We are working on supporting more than 4 videos in a Teams meeting. We don’t have a date to share or exact number of videos to support showing at once, but will update as we get closer to completion. Stay tuned!

  2. Add a global setting for the default role of meeting attendee

    If you want to make meeting attendees Participants by default (so that they can't present, mute you and remove from a meeting), then you have to manually change meeting options of a particular meeting and set "Who can present?". Today this option can't be set globally by default in Teams admin center. Please add this feature.

  3. "Wait in lobby" for student (participants) in scheduled meetings

    In order to use scheduled meetings for teaching is necessary that the meeting organizer can force student to "wait in lobby" if they try to enter the meeting before the teacher.

    In my case, students are part of the organization, they are not guests. For this reason, this functionality for my school is not possible.

    The possibility to force participants (even if part of the organization) in the lobby is necessary, because otherwise students could use the scheduled meeting to enter by their own and talk privately without the teacher.

  4. Live event concurrency

    Increase the number of concurrent live events to more than 15 per tenant - required to enable large cohort remote teaching which is a massive priority for universities at the time of the Coronavirus worldwide incident.

    Universities will often have more than 15 large lectures running at the same time and increasing the number of live events to 30 or 45 will allow universities and colleges to remotely teach large numbers concurrently

  5. Increase maximum meeting participants to 500

    Currently, meetings are limited to 250 participants.
    We have several departments within our organization containing 250-500 employees.
    Because the current Teams meeting maximum size is 250, we use other applications to host meetings for these departments.
    We would like to be able to use Teams for these larger group meetings.
    Please increase the number of participants in meetings to 500.

  6. Muting students permanently

    Teachers should be able to mute students voices in a way that they cannot dis activate. This could be used for lecture. Or to stop students interrupting on purpose.

  7. Raise Hands in Team

    The teachers in Hong Kong have been using Teams and OneNote to teach virtually at home during class suspension since early February. It’d be very useful if students are allowed to raise hands to ask a Q during meetings. So, teachers can be alerted and can provide instant feedback to individual students instead of being disrupted or not being aware of individual needs. Thank you very much!

  9. Prevent students from starting a new call/videocall.

    It would be very useful to be able to prevent students fom starting a new call or videocall with anyone, without preventing them from receiving call or videocall.

    This because, when working with younger students, the best option is that only teachers can start new call/videocall (with other teachers and/or with students).

  10. Allow the ending of a meeting to occur by the meeting organiser (i.e. the teacher of a classroom)

    Please allow teachers who run a classroom via Teams the option to be able to end meetings. With the imminent closure of schools and needing to run classes online it would be very helpful to be able to do this. Teachers are not going to leave a meeting to let a student run it due to the plethora of issues that would arise so please allow us as the teacher in the Team to end a meeting.

  11. Stop Allowing Participants to Unmute Themselves

    Meetings should not have been ported over to Teams Education without the ability for the educator to control the muting of participants. Being able to unmute as an attendee works fine for adults but does not work in a school setting.

    Enable the meeting organiser to control the muting of participants and whether they can unmute themselves or not

  12. Multiple Screen Share

    In Teams you can only share one screen at a time. I work in an office where we use 2-3 screens. Being able to share multiple screens at one time would be very beneficial.

  13. Cisco CUCM Integration

    It would be nice to be able to integrate video and voice in Teams with Cisco voice so my extension will ring at my desk and in Teams.

  14. Allow only the organizer to mute or remove other participants by default

    Change the meeting settings so that only the organizer can mute and remove participants. We are having trouble with students removing other students from a meeting.

    Hi there, yes it is possible. Try this out:
    After you created the meeting, go to “meeting options” and change the presenter to “only me”. This way, all non-organizers are joining as an “attendee” meeting role, which cannot mute nor remove other participants.

  15. Give alert when someone enters a meeting room

    There needs to be some sort of pop up notification or a sound alert when someone enters a meeting. Sometimes I'm in a meeting room by myself waiting for other participants, so I'm working on other tasks while I wait. They suddenly start talking and it's alarming! A pop up notification (like the chat notification) would be awesome to show who just entered the room.

  16. ‘Leader’ controls for Virtual Meetings

    The meetings works fine if you have a group of grown-ups, but if you have a situation like teacher+pupils you need better controls.

    1) Teacher can ‘mute all’
    2) Pupil can ‘raise hand’ to speak.
    3) Teacher can unmute individuals
    4) Teacher can ‘give control’ to pupils.
    5) Teacher can ‘take control’ back
    6) Pupils can ‘request’ but not ‘take’ control.
    7) Teachers should be able to write in OneNote in a meeting window.

    And so on.

    With the possibility that Coronavirus could result in school closures, the meetings features could be about to be stress tested. At the moment,…

  17. Allow to split meeting in separate sessions (breakout rooms)

    For online trainnings, we wish to allow to split a meeting into separate sessions. The meeting host can choose to split the participants of the meeting into these separate sessions automatically or manually and can switch between sessions at any time.

    The teacher can host a meeting for all classroom and divide sub meetings for students work in small groups and after that they can return to main meeting with all students.

  18. more than four people visible at once on screen . in our teaching we are holding regularly online meetings of many more than four people

    hello . In our teaching we are holding regular seminar meetings with many more than four people . It would be very useful to be able to see more than four on the screen at once . On Friday we had approx 40 participants - it was very good to be able to share the online space but it would have been really useful to have been able to see everyone in little boxes on screen at once . Alternatively smaller seminar groups of 10 or 12 visible would be very good . it would make seeing who wanted to…

  20. Disable announcement when a dial in user joins a meeting

    It is exceptionally disruptive and annoying that call in users are loudly announced by the system when they join or leave a meeting. Please implement a way to disable this audio announcement.
