Add the full screen option during Screen Sharing and Meetings
Why did Teams remove the full screen Option during Screen Sharing and Meetings? This was an option before and now it's been replaced by "Focus" which DOES NOT do the same thing. Now ever time someone share their screen with me, I have to squint at what they're showing. The Focus option does nothing. We used to be able to full screen shared screens and see everything at the proper size. It is unprofessional of Microsoft to keep removing and changing useful features without any notice.
Thank you for your continued feedback. We have not forgotten about this ask, this feature request remains on our backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
Yawn. Yet another backlogged core feature.

I can't integrate teams as corporate collaboration tool. This isssue is the show stopper.

It is just impossible to work together on presentations and excel tables (both Microsoft products ;-) ).
The so called full screen mode still only uses 70% of the monitor and scales the size of the source screen down to a smaller window

How hard can this be? Not everyone has a huge screen. I want to see the screen the same way the presenter sees it, not even smaller because the tool bar is taking up space.
It has been 2.5 years since this ask was originally opened. Teams is a business tool, and as such, full-screen should be a required feature.
When a presenter and a viewer have the same resolution screen, and both are in full-screen mode, there should be no pixel-scaling on the viewers screen.
Fix this issue now please! I'm forced to use this **** software because the company I work for insists on using it since it's included in Office 365. That's why you got lots of users. Had it been a stand-alone software nobody would pay for it. A video sharing tool that can't show full screen. It's a joke!

Any chance you could share the backlog so we can have a laugh at the items you consider more important - like new emojis?
Teams is a joke: it won't even start on the same monitor it was exited from - that's really simple stuff.
Having to click "Full Screen" (which of course isn't actually full screen) and then "Focus", every single time someone shares a screen and having to make do with not seeing the person's shared screen clearly every single time, is just crazy.
Stuff emojis - please just fix this already or return the original user experience which was actually a far better experience.

@Alex: Sorry, but after almost a year, credibility is unfortunately sinking towards zero.

give me "Full Screen" or we tack over Zoom?!

Teams now has a "Full Screen" option which STILL does not make the shared video full screen. Full screen means full screen, Microsoft. It doesn't mean most of the screen. It doesn't mean having your picture on top of the screen. It doesn't mean having a toolbar at the top of the screen. It means FULL SCREEN! This is a huge problem, especially for the visually impaired.

I came up with a workaround for fullscreen recently:
When you get to a meeting, instead of using the desktop app, use the web app in a browser that allows you to detach video from the page in a new window (or has an extension that does that). In my case, I do it with Yandex Browser. It is a Chromium based browser forked from Opera. I'm not sure if Opera also has that, but it is possible.
Here are some screenshots of how it works
Yes, this is a really useful tool. I was looking for an answer to my problems for a long time. And finally I found it. Thank you.

Since the so called "new user experience" was forced to be the only user experience the real full screen mode is gone. Now even if the person sharing the screen and the person viewing the screen have the same resolution, the content needs to be scaled. This is annoying. What for? Please bring true full screen back!
Sharing here, as Skype is the far superior business tool:
These updates seem to be backward. In 8 months we've progressed from "We are working to add full screen" to "this feature request remains on our backlog". Should we expect an update 8 months from now that you've given up and will never fix this very basic feature???
@Alex: Thank you for sharing an update, I appreciate that.
Nevertheless, I'm not amused to hear that it 'remains on your backlog'. It is a real annoyance to collaborate with other colleagues without having a proper full screen mode. For example, as a software developer it is of utmost importance to see the whole screen while colleagues are sharing content, e.g. source code. Especially for colleagues with limited eye sight (age or disability related), they have a hard time to follow the content if it is small and not fully visible

MS: You need Fullscreen? Sorry, but emojis are more importent:
" We are excited to announce that an expanded set of emojis are included in our May 2021 Public Preview pack and will be available to users who opt into Public Preview. This update includes over 800 new emojis, along with skintone options, different genders for applicable emojis and new emojis featuring people with disabilities."
Seriously... how hard can this be!?
I have a suggestion that would clear up most of your backlog. Buy Slack. You bought Skype, and it didn't pan out so well. Don't let that discourage you though! Slack is superior to Teams in almost every area. It is a safe purchase.
This is closing in on a YEAR since you claimed to be working on this. Can't you just hire someone from RingCentral or Zoom or Slack or any of the other services that knows how to do this?
If it has taken your engineers 8 months, and they still can't figure it out, they need outside help.
This is the single biggest reason why I recommend that our clients use Zoom instead of Teams.
Please do your best to introduce "Full screen" feature asap. Working on huge excel file is extremely complicated without it. Also the "escape" shortcut to move from the full screen and moving the window with multiple screen is mandatory (same as it worked on Skype)
