Pop Out/Dedicated conference & meeting window for Teams Meeting
If would be good to have a pop out dedicated window during conference call, meetings and screen sharing session like Skype for business.
Currently it is very inconvenient to continue work on TEAMS without getting calls window minimized.

The Pop-out meeting feature has been rolled out to 100% of users. You can enable the feature by going to your profile picture at the top right of Teams > Settings > General > then select Turn on new meeting experience.
Support documentation can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-a-preview-of-new-meeting-features-04533e91-3203-4530-a1c0-8f77c0731699.

Hello
Can you join a Teams meeting using the teams in the browser, then join another Teams meeting at the same time using the desktop app? Same log in, same organisation, just two separate meetings concurrently, so you could have microphone muted and listen to both? Or, join one teams meeting on pc and another teams meeting on iphone teams app and be able to hear both without being on hold? -

In the existing pop-in version, the shared contents can be viewed full-screen. This new pop-out version, doesn't allow this option. i would recommend to include this, otherwise the rest of the content (topbar, participant cards etc.,) occupries ~20% of the screen real-estate.

Can there now be a setting added to disable this and pop-out chat? I accidentally open pop out chats all the time and I hate it. I do not want to have more stuff popping out when this gets completed.

It would also be nice if we could pop out the entire chat module. It is frustrating to be working in my planner or a meeting and receive a notification of someone chatting me. If I did not already have their specific chat popped out, then I have to leave whatever I am doing to go pop out their chat, and then go all the way back to what I was trying to do. This is especially time consuming when I am working in shared Team files or presenting.

This is much more useful than being able to pop out chats with individuals - the only reason I would want to pop a chat out is so that I could have a call on one screen and continue working in Teams on another.

The current pop-out feature only allows you to pop-out a chat, which is difficult while in a meeting. Ideally, you would also be able to pop-out a meeting, as opposed to just individual chats.

This is going to be very helpful during meetings! it is confusing to do all interactions in one single window.

I think a pop up meeting session is more useful than this one.

Also want to highlight the April 20 comment for capability to pop-out the Teams meeting into two dedicated windows, as this already works with dedicated Teams video conference equipment:
- one with the shared content (with the chat and participant list as a side bar)
- one with the participants of the meeting (e.g. the video streams) -

I don't see GCC in that roadmap item, I am sure it will roll out later to GCC than to commercial due to additional security testing, but the roadmap makes it look like it will come to the GCC at all.

What about popout window for videos as well. We have a few conference rooms with dual screen would be awesome to have the presentation on one screen. The video steam on the second and the main teams screen on the laptop

When you open the pop up notifications, only the entire Team Client opens, even though the chat is popped out. Please make this better with the new feature!

Woudn't it be a good idea to make ALL features of Teams multi-windowed? Like Outlook has. Menu "File:New:Main Window", or just "Window:New".

This would be great for delivering a workshop - I could keep my eye on the chat window, host the meeting and share different screens as I wished. I'm already using Teams in a bowser to host the meeting; but I think meeting pop out options (for chat, notes, participants or even the whole meeting itself) would give greater flexibility.

Very much wanted, but remember that you can open a separate instance of Teams in a browser window (or several), and then attend the meeting and work in Teams in separate windows. E.g. copy the link to your meeting to open it in a browser, or simply go to https://teams.microsoft.com/ to log in and do any task you can do in the app :)
