Pop Out/Dedicated conference & meeting window for Teams Meeting
If would be good to have a pop out dedicated window during conference call, meetings and screen sharing session like Skype for business.
Currently it is very inconvenient to continue work on TEAMS without getting calls window minimized.

The Pop-out meeting feature has been rolled out to 100% of users. You can enable the feature by going to your profile picture at the top right of Teams > Settings > General > then select Turn on new meeting experience.
Support documentation can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-a-preview-of-new-meeting-features-04533e91-3203-4530-a1c0-8f77c0731699.

Will this feature allow for video meetings in private channels to observe testing students in pop-out windows? I am looking to be able to have students (one per private channel or breakout room when it becomes available)) to test in a proctored manner using meeting pop-outs.

Definitely I find it very frustrating that Teams shrinks the speaker to a little picture if we are using Chat - in Zoom it is a bar on the right. Microsoft you may lose users if you don't change soon!!

It would be awesome to pop out different features so I can organise everything on duel screens

PLZ return back Skype Business futures to this TEAMS app and users will be happy.

Please add this feature to hide the control bar. Give some option to hide the control bar and participant bar from the bottom of the meeting window. Participants bar takes real estates and does not have option to hide this.
MSFT - please take those feedback and give us some good tool to use. -

Hi, any update on the testing and the opt-in rollout?

Being able to pop meeting out as separate window is much more valuable than popping out individual chat windows, even tho that functionality sometimes helps. it is annoying to have the meeting window minimize if i need to check a channel notification or a new chat notification every time.

Similarly found meeting chats can't pop out.
Clarification - from the roadmap writeup, this looks to be a 'meeting and calling' pop out, but doesn't mention how the meeting chat will be handled in the same window or if left behind in Teams

two window in a meeting when will it happen?

Yes! Strangely when you present something to other participants in the meeting you are able to detach the video stream window from the content you're presenting, but when someone else is presenting something you wind up with a single screen with the video stream below the shared content, and with almost no possibility to see who's speaking!

the problem I am facing is when I am viewing a file on a Teams channel and I get an IM. I'd like to be able to pop out that window so I can do both at the same time. At least when it's a chat and of course if it's part of a channel, it'd be great if I can pop that window out as well.

I just hung up a call trying to move that stupid bar so I could take a screen shot. I do NOT NEED TO SEE THESE OPTIONS during the entire call!!! Why is this not an option or on a side bar? SUPER ANNOYING.

Please also add the ability to pop-out a thread and/or channel from within a Team as well. We're trying to move groups into a more structured experience than in simple chat, but the experience is not the same.

Really looking forward to this feature as being able to pop out a meeting is much more valuable than pop out a chat. I regularly have multiple chats going on at the same time, but I still need to be able to see the presentation in the meeting.

I appreciate multi-window for chat. If I have a dual screen, I want to have my meeting on a full screen on one window and address issues through chat in another window.

I would like to pop the meeting chat - mostly so i can look at participants which appears in the same space so I have to shuttle between the two. Am I missing something of does pop not work here?

Really wish I could pop out an entire meeting so my chats stay in the Teams window and when the meeting is over the window goes away. It's really distracting and annoying to have to shift between a video conference and chat windows that are unrelated to the meeting I'm in. It's almost as if we can't multitask. I don't like the chat pop out function because I don't need separate chats - I'm fine with them all being in one place. But to have a meeting in another window where I don't necessarily have to see or look at anything and can still ping/chat with my staff or mangers would be great. Sometimes it could even be related to the meeting but I don't want the entire audience of the meeting to see what i need to remind a manager of or something. It would be extremely helpful to pop out a meeting rather than a chat.
