screenshare without audio
In Skype for Business it's possible to share your screen without using the audio feature. This is important for us, because we use a different conf bridge. Using Skype/Teams audio in that scenario just gets in the way (echo, unwanted audio through PC, etc).
Bottom line, it would be nice to be able to share your screen in Teams without using the voice/audio feature.
I have confirmed with the feature team that this is, in fact, functioning as you expect today – you can share your entire desktop or a specific window directly from a private chat session, without starting audio or video. The mute microphone button is enabled so you are able to easily add audio by “unmuting”, but we realize this is causing confusion. We are working on further experience improvements.
Please feel free to respond to email@example.com if you are still seeing issues.

Really that hard just to remove audio at same time as video that you had to take a popular vote into completed and ask others to vote on one with 1% of the number of votes to buy more time on adding it?

Would have never thought we’d have to be this specific. We need to go STRAIGHT to screen sharing with no other connections of any type. Of course, we may elect to connect video or audio later, but initially, it should be screen share only - nothing else.
Typical close-mindedness of Microsoft - obviously majority wanted to share screen without video and audio call. But because it wasnt specifically outlined, you went and spent all that money and time developing half the request.
If my product manager was this stupid, they would be out the door

It is unbelievable that we need to vote for audio and video on different posts. I am afraid that they will just mute the audio call and call the day.
Do we need to be more specific and say that we do not want any Phone Call Requirement?

Haha, it sounds like a programmer ran out of time on the "without video call" feature and elected to not include "screenshare without audio"
Allow screenshare without a video or an audio call.
This is malicious compliance, yes?

The final admin update on the "without video call" link is absurd. Because we only specified video, they only removed the video requirement? Really?
Allow screenshare without phone call requirement.
This is already being requested at this link https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16936774-enable-screen-sharing-without-video-call please go vote for it there to get Microsoft to bring it out of the backlog. It already has over 4000 votes, so I'm not sure why it is still there to be honest
