Search content by partial strings
We are not able to use a partial string when searching.
Work has been done by the team to add support for partial strings. They are continuing to work on improving the experience.

It also works with partial search in the Android app but not in the Windows app for Windows 10.
Forget the year, it's the age of computers. Why would they limit search functionality to "exact match only"?! Seriously, if a message/reply has "requirements", it will not show in the search results if you search "requirement". Why did they release such a subpar search feature? Oh yeah, "Microsoft". Half-assing every product they've ever released since the company's inception.
I realised that text in the Wiki tabs don't appear in the search results.
Please include search results from all conversations / tabs / etc. Thanks!

I have noticed the Teams app for iOS allows for partial word search. In your example above, "collab" would produce results in the Mobie app, but the same exact search in Windows app does not :(
Yep, that is 100% needed. Very troublesome to find the appropriate material in Teams without that ability.

It's 2018, I should be able to have regex in my search bar, not to mention simple "contains" type search.
When searching in chat messages i will not get a hit on 'test' when a message contains 'testing'. Exact matches should be first, and wildcard matches later.
