I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Hey Microsoft. We and our clients really need this. Please update. Why does it take you so long?
This is so badly needed, and surely possible as it can be done for 1 work and 1 personnel why the limit just allow two accounts and then why not 3 or 4! come on ms you can do it!
Please hurry up with this. I have three employers, and each has issued me with login details, email addresses and software for their organisations. Without any way to switch between accounts short of logging in and out all the time, I just CANNOT keep on top of what is going on and keep missing things. This is so basic a necessity I can't believe it wasn't considered from day one. How long until we can switch between accounts on one simple drop down menu?
The roadmap doesn't show it coming to GCC, Alex. Will it be coming to GCC?
I need this functionnality
I work for a company as an IT guy from an other one.
I have two different accounts and have to be present on both
Web App is not sufficient

As a consultant I have 3 different teams accounts, one for my company and one for every client. I try my best with the mobile app but being able to use all three seamlessly in desktop would be a life saver!
really really need this functionality - I have 4 x Teams / 365 accounts and need to switch between each one slickly, using browsers doesn't give you the best user experience. :-(
I would request you to kindly provide this feature. Forced to use one account on web and one on desktop. At least the same feature as web ok switching between the guest account and the main account could be implemented , it would be of a great help.
It's ridiculous this is not a feature from day one. I have multiple clients trying to reach me on a daily basis on their own company organization where we're set up as guests, however I also have multiple other clients and colleagues who reach me on a daily basis within our own organization. The fact that the desktop application can't track whenever I'm being called on the other (currently not switched on) organization makes this application completely useless.
I see status "rolling out". Is this actual support tof multiple accounts or the work/personal feature? When will actual multiple accounts be available on MacOs?
Yes, please and this will be helpful to many organizations.
Hum... 2017 - Mid 2021 is not enough time to this? Teams is an Enterprise tool!!! Who was the genius that put personal accounts in game? Personal accounts DON´T PAY FOR IT in vast majority of users... All companies do..
Unbelievable this is not part of teams. It make Teams worthless to me. I have to be in my company's Team and the Team of a company that we work with daily. If I cannot access both teams at the same time then there is no value in Teams for us.
This is not what we've expected. Ridiculous!

Too little, too late?

Can I just add my voice - we really need access to Multiple Teams accounts, especially during a time where remote working relies so heavily on this online platform and I am necessarily part of more than one Teams account.
This is ridiculous. What is the point of being able to switch between accounts in the app if I don't know if anyone has messaged me (in the inactive account)??? Why can't it poll both (all) organizations?

I've got multiple clients using teams and it should be a seamless transition between them. I was able to switch the other day, but now looks like it has been taken away?

I suspect this is waiting on Feature ID: 68693 "Microsoft Teams: Restricting Windows and Mac managed device sign-In to specific tenants" which has been stuck in development for 3 months now. It's planned to roll out this month, but I wouldn't hold my breath. My guess is multi work accounts on desktop is ready to go right now, but MS doesn't have a way of making it available to only the users and organizations who don't care about specific tenants. And I expect there are large, influential, risk-averse organizations would switch off Teams before letting their users login to multiple accounts.
Given the extreme unhappiness about this feature gap, I make a plea to MS to take an MVP approach to the specific tenant control and flesh it out more fully later, so multi work accounts can roll out now.
