Integrate with MacOS notifications
Notifications built into the OS (which all apps I've seen use other than Outlook and now Teams) are more functional and allow for more user control. Most importantly, they honor Do Not Disturb settings, which is critical.
We are continuing to work on this feature. As with Windows notifications, we are also doing work to give users the choice between Teams notifications & Mac notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.

Y'all have been working on this for 546 business days!! There's no way this should take this long. Integrating with notification APIs is like Software Development 101 these days. How can y'all still not have this deployed? I don't think a single person in this thread wants to keep the existing notification system, we want the native notification system. Just make it happen! PLEASE!!
Remember who you're talking to here. Mac users are used to almost everything conforming to the same set of rules. Apple admittedly has us spoiled. But it is to y'alls advantage to play by those rules in order to make this set of users happy. And right now you're failing miserably.

Today a colleague sent me an angry message because he thought I was ignoring him because I missed the notifications when he mentioned me in a chat.
Teams frustrates me more than any other app on my Mac at the moment and not having native notifications is the biggest issue with Teams.

Think about a cute little cat meowing, purring and looking forward for this feature. Do you really wanna see this kitten cry? :-(
Please enable this feature after two years of progress... For me, for us and for the little, cute cat!
This would certainly be a very nice feature when it is delivered. I do experience the lag on notifications from teams and often times I need to hover over the notification to get it to display details so my experience is much like others have noted. That and the ability to set Do Not Disturb for all notifications would be extremely helpful. Hopefully this can be released soon. thank you
O god, this is taking AGES!

Helllooooooooo? Is this thing on?
We're halfway July now, and not even a single sign Microsoft is releasing this very soon... Unbelievable. Apple should block Microsoft Teams from installing on any Mac before native notifications are implemented. Put on some pressure!

thats a huge painpoint, please fix it -A-S (without AP just S! or better just now!).

This really needs to get fixed. Notifications look horribly outdated and out of place.
ask to zoom and webex how did they fix it and copy.
What a joke!!! 4 years and counting needed for such a simple fix! This makes MS Teams so horrible to work with.
This is taking forever..... I've been watching this item for years (!) now, and had faith for it all to come together. However, my faith is dwindling as this is just dragging along.
OK, so Alex said (above) to update us as work progresses. But that was 4 months ago (not even considering all the time before that), but no update since, so that means in 4 months time there is no progress in the work?
I don't want to be the next person nagging, but come on, at least inform us!

Just switched to Mac and immediately noticed the bad work with teams notifications. What good are notifications if I can't see them when I'm working on something else?
Please fix this
Really pathetic that it has to take this long to build in this feature. Every average little app has this feature, but Microsoft is unable to get this working and made their own terrible version of a notification which you cannot easily turn off on not disturb.
This has been a feature request FOR 2 YEARS. WHY DOES IT TAKE 2 YEARS TO ENABLE NATIVE NOTIFICATIONS?!?!?!?!
Is it that you're bad at your jobs? Or that you just don't care?
Hey, I'd rather NOT use MS Teams if I had a choice, but you suckered my company into using O365 so now we're stuck with it instead of something useful, like Slack or Discord.
Which, by the way, are also 2 apps which DO HAVE NATIVE NOTIFICATIONS FOR MAC OS.
You have COMPLETELY burned up any and all your goodwill on this over a year ago, and now people are just ANGRY at you.
Get yourselves together, and stop messing around with "gifs" and "praise" buttons, and legitimately fix an issue that has existed for OVER 700 days.
What is wrong with you people?

Desperately needing this feature.

This is unacceptable how long this is taking!! This is a MAJOR problem that so many people have detailed before. These "updates" don't have any credability.

Can we get an update??

At MINIMUM, we need a way to silence all notifications like the MacOS Do Not Disturb function. I can't have notifications popping up when I am screensharing and turning all the options off/on individually is crazy.
