Move a project (channel) from one team to another
We would like to move a project (channel) between groups to keep the information.
28,289 votesThis continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Ability to archive channels
Would be nice if we had the ability to archive channels. For example: we created a channel for a specific project. Once the project is complete, we can archive that channel or at least move it out of the primary view. I could see the channel list getting large and clunky quickly with multiple projects many of which are complete.
Also, when a conversation in the channel is complete it should be archived or hidden.

Delete Private Chat threads
This request is for the ability to completely delete a private chat thread. (Not hide/archive.)
Again, this was pulled out into its own topic because it is still under review and no decision has been made.
To recap what has already been completed from the other topic:
- Delete your own messages anywhere in Teams.
- Team Owners can choose if users can edit/delete in their tenant as well as choose if admins have the power to delete any message posted in public channels.
- The ability to hide your private chat threads (these are not the chat threads in channels, but the…

Fulltextsearch for Wiki
It seems like the wiki content is not searchable with the global search
A wiki you cannot search for entries is useless...

Have the download function of files allow you to select the destination
Currently files are downloaded only to the DOWNLOAD folder. Allow a save as function / select download location.
8,992 votesUnfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.

Ability for meeting participants to draw on shared screen
Participants in a a meeting with a shared screen should have the ability to draw (with their mouse or touch pen) on the shared screen. E.g. if a PowerPoint is being presented, participants would have their designated color to draw with (to distinguish who is drawing) and a mouse pointer in the same color. The could then point and draw for the other participants in the meeting to see. This would be similar to a whiteboard, only it would be for drawing on top of a shared screen.
6,905 votesThanks for providing the feedback. This feature is in our backlog. We’ll update when we have more details to share.

Make public channel private
It would be nice to convert some of our already established channels to private now the feature is available in the same way it may be desired to de-classify a private channel to public at some point too.
Currently a channel privacy can only be set during creation.
6,803 votesThank you for your feedback! The team has reviewed this request and has added it to our backlog for both Standard (Public) to Private and Private to Standard (Public) channel conversion. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.

Support hashtags in channels and DMs
Allow clickable links on #hashtagged items ... in a channel or group, perform a search within that group.
For DMs and conversations, search all of your conversations

Channel only members & guests
Channel only members enable collaboration with people outside the team in a specific channel, without granting them access to the team itself. The channel member could be someone in your organization, or external to your organization (guest).
5,945 votesThank you for the interest in meeting with research. All slots have been filled (in under 6 minutes).
This item remains on the backlog for now. Thanks!

Multiple People Screen Sharing Option
Allow multiple people to share their screen at one time, similar to how hangout does it.

More status options, custom status, and Out of Office
MORE STATUS
I like the status options in S4B, and so does my boss. It will be important to my boss before accepting the use of MS Teams widely to have a broader range of statuses. Missing statuses are:
* In a meeting
* In a conference call
* In a call
* Presenting
* Be right back
* Off WorkParticularly of importance are "Be right back" and "off work". "Do not disturb" is probably sufficient for "in a meeting", "in a call" and "presenting". But, it sure is nice that S4B auto-detects those three statuses (for the most…

Change which Tab is default landing page for a Team and/or Channel
Right now the conversation tab is the default landing page for a Team and/or Channel.
I want to be able to have a SharePoint site landing page in a tab and that tab be the default tab open when you navigate to a team or channel.Think of it like a landing page for that team. You may not want it to drop right into Conversations. If you can have a SharePoint page with a Microsoft Teams conversations web part, you get the best of both worlds.
I can see a lot of scenarios where you'd want the chat window…4,598 votesI apologize for not having updated this. Changing the landing page for a Team and/or Channel remains on the backlog at this time.

Create Team from existing SharePoint site, and other requests
1 User Request on SharePoint:
Enable integration of Microsoft Teams to an existing SharePoint site rather than to always create a new site collection
There have been a few ideas raised on integrating lists, OneNote, document libraries, etc. from an existing SharePoint site with Microsoft Teams, but in summary, it will be best if we could create a team upon on existing site, so that the "Files" and "Notes" tabs would directly reference the existing document library and OneNote in SharePoint. It does not make sense to have two separate sites: one for all the usual SharePoint stuff, and another…

Read Only channel
Would like to create a Public/announcements Read Only channel so that only specified members can post. This allows for authorized personnel to make company announcements, but not everyone can post.
(The request for a Public Announcement channel is complete, since the General channel can be controlled by admins and set to read only)
4,404 votesDue to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.-Warren

Disable chat temporarily during meetings
Please allow meeting organizer to temporarily disable chat during a meeting.
We often have people so focused on the chat, they don't pay any attention to the actual meeting.
We'd love to be able to turn off chat at the beginning of the meeting, and then turn it back on at an appropriate point.3,759 votesThank you for your feedback. The ability to enable and disable meeting chat in a meeting is on the backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Add an option to disable auto-adjusting mic level
When on the call the Teams will automatically adjust the mic sensitivity level. I want it to stay at the same level. It's really annoying as it picks up background sounds when not talking. Also, it doesn't readjust it after the call, so i.e. if I had set level 50% before the call the Teams will readjust it to 80% and it will stay at 80% after the call has ended. This forces me to keep manually adjusting the mic level. It's a minor thing, but really infuriating. Would be really great, to just have a checkbox to disable mic…

Add other Sharepoint document folders under Files
Please allow adding granular SharePoint document library subfolders to the Files tab. Currently, only the document library level can be added, not sub folders.
This allows adding content from related but separate SharePoint sites without having to provide the entire document library (which may contain irrelevant content to the Team)
