  1. 2 Types of hand-raising

In my class students sometimes use the raise hand feature to ask questions not relating to the conversation while others raise their hand to ask questions or continue the ongoing conversation and need to be chosen instantly, i suggest 2 types of raise hand one for unrelated questions another one for people that want to say things directly relating to the ongoing conversation like urgent hand raising and normal one.

Vote this idea to make it appear on top so the devs will see it.

  2. Show Order when "Raising Hands" in Team Meetings

Raise Hands feature has been immensely helpful in very heated/passionate conversations in a small group. However, it is still hard to track "who raised their hands first?!" in larger groups. Having the ability to see the order of raised hands will help to facilitate larger audiences in meetings. Last thing we want is for the conversation to derail into "who raised their hands first?!" That would defeat the very purpose of the "Raise Hands" feature.

  3. Raise Hand: Roberts' Rules Of Order: raised-hand order or point-of-order raised-hand

For meetings conducted under Roberts' Rules Of Order, it would be valuable for the Teams Raised-Hand feature to indicate to the moderator the ORDER that participants' hands were raised for moderator's recognition to speak. Per Roberts Rules, there is also a need for a top-priority for Hand Raised for Point-Of-Order. (Maybe also for Call-The-Question.) Upon moderator's recognition, the Raised Hand would be dropped by the moderator and number ranking would move up.

  4. Add a popup hand in meeting window if someone uses "raise your hand" feature

The feature "raise your hand" is a nice idea but it only add an hand symbol near the participant in the participant list. It is only visible if someone is actively looking at the participant list. Suggest having additionally the symbol of the hand popping up in the left corner of the meeting window, also in case someone is presenting something.
The Organisator or the presenter can close the hand symbol and if they want give the world to who raises

  5. Raised hand reminder

people often forget that the raised hand icon is still raised after saying what they wanted to. So the suggestion is to either deactivate the icon after it is detected that the person has spoken or simply flash a reminder to the person that your hand is still raised, put down or keep raised

  7. Raise hand more noticible

Make hand-raising more obvious. Maybe highlight video of the person who raises their hands, or an external light that blinks when a hand is raised, or have a big blinking hand over the entire face of the person. A hand is easy to see when you are sitting in front of a computer, but when teaching, and only scanning the screen, the raised hand is easily missed.

An extra feature, have the ability to turn this feature off since not everyone uses this in a classroom.

  8. Raise Hand: order in which hands have been raised

In a larger meeting it is sometimes difficult for the "moderator" to keep track who wants to say something. Wouldn't if be good to associate every raised hand with a number that keeps track of who raised their hand first?

  9. Raised Hands Not Noticeable to Presenter

The Presenter cannot view who has raised hands in an ongoing meeting when his/her screen is shared thus he/she continues talking even if other participants have raised their hand and are waiting for their turn to speak.

This is not helpful as inspite of this feature if this participant has to barge into a ongoing conversation to get the needed attention.

  12. Log raise hand in meeting

The organisation find the raise hand function very useful but would like to audit when a person in a meeting raises the hand in the log files.

It will be used to determine if someone raised their hand at a point in time should a question be posed in a meeting like "raise your hand if your agree with x"

  13. Hand Raise

The Hand-raise feature should have a 90 second time-out feature. Often times, users forget to lower their hand. It is a waste of time and a distraction to ask a user what their question is, only to find out they forgot to lower their hand.

  16. raise hand

Notify user of raised hands whilst in a meeting but reviewing text in Teams channels/streams. We use a Teams call for a regular catchup, drawing agenda items from our channels from the previous week. However, whilst the Chair of the meeting does this, there is only the video feed for the person who has talked last showing - so can;t see any raised hands and have to flick between Teams button and Video chat!

  19. Raise your Hand feature

If you change the meeting options for Who Can Present from Allow everyone to Specific people, it disables the automatic chronological ordering of people as they raise their hands. The hands then show up next to that person's name in alphabetical order, thus making it impossible to see who raised their hand first and to keep track of who to call on.

  20. Can you put a notification in the minimised teams window if somebody raises their hand

When presenting your teams window is minimised so you cant see if anyone has raised their hand. Can you put a small visual indicator in the window to show that somebody wants your attention.
