macOS - Don't quit the app when I close the window
Mac apps, especially something like a chat client, should not QUIT when the user clicks the red X to close the window, as it does for Teams.
The red X should only close the WINDOW, but the app should remain running and logged in in the background.
Clicking the dock item should re-open the window instantly to where it was previously.
I find myself having to reopen Teams dozens of times a day, as well as missing important messages because I didn't realise the app had actually quit and not stayed running in the background.
227 votesHi everyone, thanks so much for your feedback. We have this fixed with release of GA.
Hope you all have experienced the fix and app must be running in background even on closing the window.Swati Jhawar

Speaker attribution in captions
During any Meeting in Teams, it could be great if it provides speaker username along with Captions while scrolling and it will be great if those captions within meeting group as saved as history(ex: char history). so, that it will be easy to recollect discussion happened by reading all captions without voice help& without anybody's help.

See usage stats per team in Admin Center
We need to be able to see usage stats per team in admin center. Current stats show usage per user. This tells us very little as a user can be a member of multiple teams. Business area owner and rollout/adoption managers want to be able to select a team and see how much activity per week/month etc. In our case, this is the only metric that they're interested in.
210 votesThe Teams Admin Center has this functionality.

Change default meeting options
The default meeting options are not adjustable at this time. By default, the meeting options are set so that no one has to wait in the lobby and everyone has the presenter role by default. For each meeting, the meeting owner must manually adjust it. There is currently no option to adjust the standard. This is not pleasant for an education tenant.
Make sure that it is possible to adjust the default meeting options.
p.s. this is / was possible in Skype
205 votesWe’re happy to announce admins are able to change the default value of ‘Who can present?’ in Meeting Options via the new parameter, DesignatedPresenterRoleMode. For more information, please visit: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-in-teams or https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/policy-packages-edu
In addition there is a new default Teams meeting policy to enforce lobby in meetings for tenants who have not modified the default meetings policy. With this change, meeting organizers can define/fine-tune the lobby experience via the Meeting options feature. For information on meeting options, please see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-participant-settings-for-a-teams-meeting-53261366-dbd5-45f9-aae9-a70e6354f88e

Is there a way for IT admins to export team membership and email address?
Team Owners should have the ability to export team member names and email address into a .CSV file.
As an admin, I'd like to be able to double check with my support teams to figure out when we don't have proper access to reports and other sites that our Team Site is tied into.
So I'd like to be able to export the team member list so I can audit who is apart of the team, remove who isn't needed or share needed information to other parties.

Name a chat
When you start a chat with some people, this chat appears in the Chat tab with the names of people in the chat, and there is no way to rename it. It would be helpful to be able to rename a chat.
205 votesYou can now “name a chat” by clicking the edit icon on the left side of the text field. Tweet me at @skprufo if you have any questions!

Meeting Policy - presenter permissions
In Skype, you were able to set your meeting options for any particular meeting. You don't have this option in Teams and everyone from your organization is made a presenter by default, so anyone can mute or remove anyone including the meeting organizer from the meeting. At the very least, we should be able to set an option in the Meeting Policies to not allow entire organization to be presenters, but it would be better if the meeting organizer could decide who if anyone, can have those permissions.

File sharing of powerpoint is not recorded in meetings

ability to join meeting by calling me instead of using computer mic & speakers
Like with Skype PSTN Conferencing, let me join the meeting by calling me instead of using computer mic & speakers. The way Teams works today, I have to manually mute my mic and my speakers, and then call out to my phone. It would also be nice to be able to select from a list of frequently called numbers, so I don't have to type in the whole number every time.
176 votesWe are happy to announce that this feature is now available in the public ring.

Allow anonymous guests to chat within a meeting
Currently, if a guest joins a meeting anonymously, it seems they cannot chat with each other or the organiser.
If someone wanted to use Teams to webcast to a wide range of users who mostly don't have a Teams account, and may be private citizens rather than organisations, the only option for them to join is anonymously.
But they then can't use the Chat feature to ask questions (which would be preferable to them using audio on a busy webcast).
Or is this feature already planned in and coming soon...?
Thanks,
175 votesGreat news! This feature has been released and any guest user can chat within a meeting even it the link is sent indirectly without the guest being invited.
If you are seeing any specific issues around guest Teams Meeting chat, please see the following information around Guest Policies https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/manage-guests.

Increase User Limit Above 2500
Will need the team user limit to increase well beyond 2500 users to allow for company wide communications.
172 votesWe are pleased to announce general availability of 5,000 member teams. Starting today, all new and existing teams can accommodate up to 5,000 members, double the previous limit. Larger groups can now collaborate effortlessly in a single team and leaders can connect with a broad audience within their organization.
Thanks for the feedback, and for being great Teams users!

Fully support OneNote notebooks
The current support for notes is HORRIBLE. Here's why:
1. It doesn't show the full contents of OneNote notebooks after they are edited in OneNote (the Windows client).
2. It claims to be OneNote, but it doesn't sync with the mobile OneNote app.To elaborate on #1, here's an example to reproduce the problem:
- Create a new OneNote page in the notes section of a channel.
- Select "Edit in OneNote".
- When the note opens in OneNote, click the tab within OneNote to "Add new section".
- Add some text to the "Untitled page" in the new section.
This new section will…

Allow email notifications for more notification types
More options on notifications. Would be better if all notifications had an email option. Could easily be done via a check box next to how you would like to be notified. This applies to everything; team notifications, personal mentions, chats, etc. A lot in my organization have complained about missing things because there is not an option of email for most notifications.
