  3. Make creating a new thread and replying to an existing thrread harder to mix up

It's far too easy to respond to a conversation when you meant to post a new conversation, and vice versa. Make this much harder to mix up, or at the very least don't show any indication of deleted posts.

  4. Redesign "Reply" vs "Type a new message" in Posts to help users keep threads together

After a good bit of adoption experience, it seems that end user training and familiarity is not adequate to solve this and some level of redesign would help. Time and again, users start a new message rather than using "Reply". Our attempts to train folks via available tutorials just aren't working.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tj5U7q89ck&feature=youtu.be&list=PLTTyiG11jh14HKbBEHPuPWxJfwPx0YUyW

ALSO - more importantly perhaps, if a person replies to a Teams post that goes to Outlook, it automatically posts it in the "Type a new message" vs. in the "Reply" grid of the original post (or so I am told)

    Thanks for considering.

  5. Ability to move channels up and down in the list to organize/group similar threads

Our team has lots of projects (each with its own channel) that last 1 day to two weeks, would like the ability to organize channels on the left and slide them up and down the list to sort by priority/schedule date or by work area.

  6. Make the headers in xlsx / ppt file viewer smaller

The big headers with the file name and the start conversation / close buttons and the one with the excel online logo and the file name take about 20% of the real estate on my screen and are basically worthless. Can you merge those two and make them smaller? Might not be an issue on big screens but I'm working on a small laptop and it makes working in the viewer harder than it has to be

  7. Chat feature

In chat if it becomes obvious that it would be great to link to different chats together so participants in both can collaborate. The ability the left click on two active chats (possibly through use of the ctrl button) then right click on those two selected chats and have a flyout appear with the ability to join\link the two selected chats together. Further to this before merging/linking the prompts about chat history inclusion and file inclusion.

  8. private group chat delete, activity to be dynamic

I have few suggestions to make,
    1. You need to introduce delete private chat group.
    2. Private chat group can be merged with a channel.
    3. Activity has only Feed as fixed , that should be dynamic as per people choice as you are giving then options to see what there want.
    4. People from outlook should be able to send Channel link
    5. Join (meeting join) option should be there on Channels as channel does not have call feature.

  9. sort so the conversations with the most recent traffic are at the top

Re-posting for your consideration until it is implemented. Messages currently come in with latest content at the bottom of the page. Would be good to be able to re-sort so the conversations with the most recent traffic are at the top. Also, move the "Start a new conversation" to the top so that its clear you're adding a new conversation and not responding to a prior thread (we have a lot of newbies who don't use the "reply" because the compose bar is on the bottom, and thus end up creating a bunch of new threads accidentally).

  10. Add cc/FYI Participants to Cards

I'm leveraging and loving MS Planner, but want the ability to distinguish between those who are truly Assigned to resolve the Task and others who are interested/subscribed/part of the associated comments thread.

I feel adding a new field "FYI" or "cc", OR enhancing the existing Assignee list to have a flag like "Owner" vs "Participant" could work

  11. Shared link URL resolution and slide preview within Conversations

When copying a link from a file within the Files tab resolve the URL, make it shorter with a clickable link (preferably the title of the saved file) and then preview it within Chat.

Having ridiculously long URLs that point to a file within Sharepoint takes up un-necessary space in a chat window forcing users to scroll back through threads.

  12. Improve the group chat system.

Currently having conversations in teams is clunky. Often times there's many different conversations in many different threads and it's difficult to track which notifications are about what conversation. Also feels generally off-putting to use. Good examples would be slack or discord. Obviously a carbon copy of them is not ideal for this app but some inspiration should be taken

  13. Consolidated search of links and attachments that can be filtered by chat/channel.

File search exists, but would be improved by having chat/channel filters.

More importantly is that we need to be able to search all documents, even those that weren't put in the files section, but we're just attachments in threads. Additionally all links and docs should be captured and referenceable from a straightforward UI container element that consolidates all of them.

  14. Add message subject without being in the exanded compose dialog

Being able to add a thread subject in the expanded compose dialog is nice, but it's not obvious (i.e. a good number of people don't realize subjects are available) and it takes extra time to compose a message with a subject. It would be nice if the subject could be added in the simple compose dialog (and with some markdown flag).

  15. Allow users to focus a reply / quote a message in a chat

Similar to how if you hold (long press) on a message in WhatsApp, you can "reply" to it, and it'll quote it before your response.

It would be helpful if you have a chat with somebody and need to respond to something a little way up the thread, it makes it far more obvious what you are responding to.

  16. Bug: Scheduled Meeting preview card not updated when meeting is edited

Conversation thread shows incorrect time on edited meeting card.

    To reproduce:
    1) "Schedule a meeting" in the Teams conversation tab
    2) Click "...", then "View meeting details"
    3) Change the time, date, title, etc. for the meeting
    4) Click "Update"

*Changes appear to be saved when viewing meeting details, but the meeting preview card in the conversation view still displays the original meeting data.

  17. Have owners have abilities to remove Team Meeting generated posts

I have a teacher that created a meeting with a student. The student recorded the meeting and posted it as a reply in the meeting thread for all students to see. We can remove the video which is good. But can there be an option for owners to remove video posts entirely from a member from a Team Meeting generated post?

  18. Activity notifications not acknowledged by child item

The activity notifications should auto acknowledge if you view the child item responsible. E.g. someone responds to a thread in a Teams Channel, either by comment, like, emote etc.
This triggers a notification for Activity, and the Teams Channel - if I go to the Teams Channel and view the new item the "Activity" alert should also change to acknowledged.

  19. Make various actions retrievable from the logs and increase more logs in Microsoft Teams

It would be great if we can retrieve logs for various actions, such as Mention used, Like! pressed, put the subject in the thread and posted, changed the document and posted, or whether the setting of automatic launch for an app is ON.
Also, it would be great if we can have a lot more logs to retrieve variety of actions.

  20. Allow us to delete private chats.

A lot of people are want this, if you search this very feedback, you'll see thousands of people demanding this very option because it's very obvious that we want to keep some of our threads deleted. We appreciate you have provided us with mute and hide options and they are very helpful but delete options is very strongly needed
