  1. Threaded replies

I understand why you tried to improve upon slack with threaded replies to a single comment. However, in the mobile app you can lose replies in the main thread as it hides everything but the last one. You have to drill into them to see the content. Implement an AI component to associate comments some how, but be careful scurrying things away in a child reply thread. To grow adoption this needs to be simple and functional. If yammer is staying alive, which it is supposedly... leave that for the social side. The is hyperfast work collab chatter,…

  2. Let us delete old/unnecessary threads

Absolutely fed up with unnecessary threads and old threads. Surely there must be a means of deleting what we want?

  3. Enable threading within a chat

Currently you can only thread within a team/channel. you should be able to reply to a 121 chat with threading as well to enable smart managing of conversations.

  4. Open a thread, replying... too confusing.

    current typing design in team(group) chat has two function;

    1.open thread
    2. reply to a tread

currently it is too confusing if someone is to start a chat.
    So my team members make mistake in this way very frequently;

    Open a thread, enter
Then open another thread, enter(even if they wanted to reply to the thread that they have just opened)

Eventually, rather than having one thread and one reply to add comment, we have two separated thread..

This happens a lot... I mean, almost everybody is confusing where they are typing.

    So, how about move typing…

  5. (Un)subscribe button for threads

Add an unsubscribe button for threads you would no longer like notifications for, and a subscribe button so you get notified on a thread without having to reply to it.

  6. Make the reply to thread option more obvious

When it comes to threaded messaging, people in my organization often start a new thread by accident instead of replying to the existing thread. Please make it easier to reply to a thread...and a tiny bit more difficult to start a new one.

  7. Email chat thread

As it is in Skype, I could use the chat thread as a basis to my Outlook email. Skype messaging is 'saved' as conversation history in Outlook. From there, I can select an historic message thread and create an email.
This would be a nice feature to 'continue' to have in Teams Chat.

  8. partial thread expansion

Allow expanding just the last few comments in a thread, rather than always expanding the whole thing. A thread w/ ~200 replies takes 4-5 seconds to expand completely saturating 1 CPU core and then requires scrolling down through it all to get to the recent replies. This is particularly inconvenient if you are frequently switching channels or between Team view and Chat view as all threads are repopulated collapsed whenever you return to a channel.

We should be able to expand only the unread messages or 20 or so at a time.

  9. Ability to split out a Thread from a conversation

Within a conversation we start multiple "threads", can we have ability to split a thread into it's own window... this way we could follow that thread on it's own, even if other threads are started in that same conversation...

  10. Posting Yammer thread links in a Teams post should preview the Yammer thread

When Teams tries to preview a Yammer thread link currently, all we see is the default Yammer preview. Link previews for Yammer under this behaviour are near useless.
A better behaviour would be for the link preview to have the topic and first line of content from the Yammer thread.

Attached is an example to how this looks now when Teams creates a preview for a posted Yammer thread link.

  11. keep threads in chronological order

Even the oldest thread can be brought to the most recent of conversations in Teams. This, in my opinion, should not be the behavior of them. Threads should remain in place in the chronological order of messages.

  12. Sync Conversation Threads with Planner Comments

Right now Planner comments are shared as conversations in the Group messages/emails. It would be helpful if each Planner task is a a thread in Teams, and any comments in the Planner are replies in the Teams thread and vise versa.
When the thread is first created, it can use the task title and description for content.

  13. Let owners delete chat threads from emails

Owners delete chat threads from emails: Further to https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17208092-hide-archive-and-delete-chat-threads it would be helpful if as a team owner I could delete/archive chat threads that were initiated from an email to the team.

  14. Allow the ability to disable notifications for specific threads

After posting in a thread, any replies to the thread send notifications to you. This can become unnecessary for longer threads that you are no longer part of the discussion and do not want to be notified when others are communicating. It would be nice to "Silence" a thread. Notifications in general for the group are wanted, but just not for a thread marked as "Silent".

  16. Threads: compress all thread button

It would be nice to have a button to compress/expand all thread in a channel in order to make navigation in channel topics more easy.
The button can also be a right click menu apperaing on the conversation tab.
    Thanks for your great work!

  17. Show threads in team chat in list view

We have to show all messages in thread view. It's easy to see.
However, if we want to see lots of messages in the list, we have to scroll a lot and take a lot of time. So, I'd like to propose an altanative way to switch the list view of threads just one click.
In the list view, we can show thread title, message summary, crated date, last posted date and thread owner and sort the threads like SharePoint list.

  18. Single Thread Replies

Allow for single thread replies to within a multi-user chat the same way you can do it on a Team. When a user in a 3+ user chat that is not a team, users should be able to reply to a users single message in a continuous thread (like in a predefined Team) so we can better track what messages relate to what previous message

  20. It's hard to keep track of individual threads

It's hard to keep track of individual threads. It would be so much better if we had a reference by thread number (as a ticket number in some helpdesk apps)

E.g., someone has marked me as a a stakeholder in a thread. I read the thread but did not have time to respond. The only option I have now is to make the thread unread, which is not right. I should be able to flag this thread for future response (a "todo" flag) and should be able to refer to this thread easily by a number. E.g. "Look…
