Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by our Customer Advocacy Team inside Microsoft Teams Engineering led by Karuana Gatimu. Our entire team believes in representing your needs inside our engineering group and we appreciate the time you take to share them with us. Rest assured that a large team of dedicated people read and discuss your feedback!
Here’s how to get your voice heard:
1 — VOTE for existing ideas (this will also subscribe you to the idea’s status updates)
2 — SUBMIT new ideas (Please include only one suggestion per post. Duplicates are merged together.)
3 — RATE the product by clicking the little orange star on this page. This helps us understand our overall standing with users. It will collect your rating every six weeks.
4 — COMMENT in ideas’ threads, which we check regularly
For official product and feature updates we recommend three things:
we have a team chat and no longer have any owners.. we can not change the name or remove people from our chat. This can be very annoying when the wrong people are added by mistake. Is there a way to become an owner without starting a new team chat?
A link to a file in Teams will fail if the file is moved. While a "normal" file link in SharePoint will also fail, if the Document ID link is used in SharePoint, the link will follow the file when it is moved to another folder. This SharePoint feature would be very useful in Teams when files in Teams are moved (e.g., as a project progresses and the files are reorganized).
I am working from home and have a slow internet connection. I frequently get a message "we ran into a problem, reconnecting...".This appears at the window top and scrolls the window content down. This will catch my eye and DISTRACTS ME from my work. I don't seem to be able to turn this off, so I leave Teams minimized.
Wenn Schüler ihre Aufgabe mit einem Foto oder pdf hochladen, wäre es für den Lehrer schön diese direkt mit einem Tabletstift zu kommentieren. (Ohne die Dateien extra in ein anderes Programm laden zu müssen)
I am using Mac (OS Catalina 10.15.6). Make call from Mac to Windows, when windows user shares screen, the screen can't be viewed on Mac. If calls are made from Windows to Mac screen share works with no issues.
As we spend more and more hours in Team's meetings, there is a heightened need to make these interactions timeboxed, focused, and outcome-oriented. As a persistent reminder of the purpose of a given meeting, Teams should add an (optional) free-form field where the moderator can define a meeting objective / outcome. This text should be visible to participants as either part of the meeting title / header or in some other persistent and highly visible space in the UI.
I would like there to be a separate option for owners and members regarding the ability to EDIT posts. There is a distinction between owners and members being able to delete posts, but there should ALSO be a distinction between being able to EDIT posts. As it stands, I, the teacher, have the same functionality as my students. I would like to edit posts, mine or my students', without having to change the settings. I (owner) would like to always be able to edit or delete posts while my students (members) cannot.
