Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by our Customer Advocacy Team inside Microsoft Teams Engineering led by Karuana Gatimu. Our entire team believes in representing your needs inside our engineering group and we appreciate the time you take to share them with us. Rest assured that a large team of dedicated people read and discuss your feedback!
Here’s how to get your voice heard:
1 — VOTE for existing ideas (this will also subscribe you to the idea’s status updates)
2 — SUBMIT new ideas (Please include only one suggestion per post. Duplicates are merged together.)
3 — RATE the product by clicking the little orange star on this page. This helps us understand our overall standing with users. It will collect your rating every six weeks.
4 — COMMENT in ideas’ threads, which we check regularly
For official product and feature updates we recommend three things:
Add new visibility to see your own reaction to posts. Similar to how Facebook shows that you have "liked" a post. Currently, you can only see if you've reacted to a post by hovering over each reaction and scrolling to find your name. Changing this will prevent you from accidentally removing, then repeating your reaction to the same post and stops unnecessary notifications for colleagues.
In the same way that you can paste "Copy as Picture" into outlook, I should be able to paste this into a teams chat so that I can quickly share excel data with my team. Right now I am forced to use the snipping tool and paste that into teams. It is all in the Microsoft software suite so this should be standardized.
Like on Discord app, we could have audio rooms that any could connect to talk about something, like share a cup of coffee in the cafeteria.
I believe is a great option to share with colleagues during these COVID times.
Please create an option so users can choose whether Enter sends messages or not. I know lots of people hate it when Enter sends messages, but lots of people like it too. Rather than forcing everyone to just have it one way, can you make it an option so people can choose for themselves whether Enter sends a message or just goes to the next line.
I'm often working from my laptop and displaying in full screen. It would be great if I could use the mobile app on my phone (iOS) as a secondary screen to see who is speaking. It doesn't embolden the names of those speaking in the attendees list like the desktop version does.
Put the ! important option on the edit tool bar for editing a post like it is for initial post.
Currently the ! is on the main toolbar as you initially craft a message. However, once you've posted, and then if you go back to edit, you have to search really hard for the same "mark important" functionality. Would be nice (and seems more consistent) to put that still on the same main edit toolbar below the message you're editing instead of just way inside the A(pencil), "..." location.
We need to see our Team's Calendars if we don't want to go back and forth from TEAMS to Outlook in order to book meaningful meetings with success quickly, That would certainly be more efficient when you are accessing TEAMS from your mobile unit.
Sometimes the chat is disabled and the user will only see a message that says, "Only team members can chat. Ask the team owner to make you a member."
What if you have no idea who is the 'team owner??' It would be nice to click this button and have the tool automatically contact the team owner.
