Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by our Customer Advocacy Team inside Microsoft Teams Engineering led by Karuana Gatimu. Our entire team believes in representing your needs inside our engineering group and we appreciate the time you take to share them with us. Rest assured that a large team of dedicated people read and discuss your feedback!

Here’s how to get your voice heard:
1 — VOTE for existing ideas (this will also subscribe you to the idea’s status updates)
2 — SUBMIT new ideas (Please include only one suggestion per post. Duplicates are merged together.)
3 — RATE the product by clicking the little orange star on this page. This helps us understand our overall standing with users. It will collect your rating every six weeks.
4 — COMMENT in ideas’ threads, which we check regularly

For official product and feature updates we recommend three things:

Stay tuned here: We update our work items monthly
Read our Blog: Official announcements come from our blog at https://aka.ms/TeamsBlog
Review the Roadmap: Our upcoming features can be seen within the Microsoft 365 roadmap site at https://aka.ms/M365Roadmap

The Fine Print: We have partnered with UserVoice, third-party service and your use of the portal and your submission is subject to the UserVoice Terms of Service & Privacy Policy, including license terms. Please do not send any novel or patentable ideas, copyrighted materials, samples or demos for which you do not want to grant a license to Microsoft.

  1. Quality assurance

The app chrashes multiple times and asks to sign in after restarting, then crashes again.
Obviously, the quality assurance for this product is not working and this needs to be resolved

We’re sorry you saw this crash issue! I’m happy to announce that our team has just deployed a solution. If you are still affected, you may need to uninstall and re-install Teams to fully restore service (teams.microsoft.com/downloads). Please let us know if you need help troubleshooting.

    Thanks!

  2. Have you got a simple introduction to the overall logic of Teams / Groups / subsides / Teamsites - perhaps even a data entity map?

How about an overall view of the relationship between the different logical data entities and the Apps that access them?

    Hi Peter,
From your chat with T-Bot in Microsoft Teams, click Videos. You will find information to help you navigate Teams and the O365 ecosystem.

    Thanks!
    Brooke

  3. Web version that works in browsers

It'd be nice to have a Web version of this that runs in modern browsers across all platforms. Chromebooks are popular in US schools so a Web version could hit this market. Plus, there are people (like me) that simply prefer Web versions of product nowadays.

  4. Ability to remove people from a chat stream

Having the ability to remove staff from a chat means that Teams could be used for discussing projects. Once someone leave a project they should no longer be able to see the chat from their previous one. This would help us to reduce confusion and notifications which are not needed.

  6. Allow More People to be in a Private Chat

Currently the maximum number of people who can join a group chat is 50, it would be really useful to see this expanded! We have multiple use-cases within our organisation for larger group chats, particularly as people try to move away from Lync and Skype based chats.

  7. Be able to see who on your team is online.

Its hard to see who is online without specifically searching for their name or viewing their previous comments in a channel. Would love to see a list of those on my team and the presence.

You can see who is online by the little dot next to their profile photo. It will be green for available, yellow for away and red for busy.
