Hi there, you’ve reached the user feedback site for Microsoft Teams. It’s managed by our Customer Advocacy Team inside Microsoft Teams Engineering led by Karuana Gatimu. Our entire team believes in representing your needs inside our engineering group and we appreciate the time you take to share them with us. Rest assured that a large team of dedicated people read and discuss your feedback!
Here’s how to get your voice heard:
1 — VOTE for existing ideas (this will also subscribe you to the idea’s status updates)
2 — SUBMIT new ideas (Please include only one suggestion per post. Duplicates are merged together.)
3 — RATE the product by clicking the little orange star on this page. This helps us understand our overall standing with users. It will collect your rating every six weeks.
4 — COMMENT in ideas’ threads, which we check regularly
For official product and feature updates we recommend three things:
The UI is unnecessarily crowded and over complicated, it defaults to chats rather than contacts, the buttons are counter intuitive. Everything takes a lot of clicks. I don’t spend my whole day trying to learn Teams and simply do not want to if it’s going to just generate more work for me
When using a connector for a task manager, we often get notifications about small changes to the same task. Each of these generates a new adaptive card, which quickly clutters the UI and makes it hard to work. Instead, it would be great if the connector was able to update an existing card with new information. For example, the request could accept a unique ID (set by the 3rd party app) and if Teams knows there's a prior card with the same ID, it would update it and bubble it down to the end of the conversation.
After spending a few minutes entering all my vacation time and otherwise unavailable periods, i click to share and I'd like to be able to share all newly entered dates. As it is, I have to click Share after each addition causing unnecessary notifications to be sent to team members for each addition. Or select ranges of dates on the "Share with Team" page that only allows a two month spread.
Due to the lack of private channels, I am a member of 30 teams and counting. I expect the number to double by the time Teams rolls out fully. It would be nice to have the option to be able to group teams into broad categories and "drill down" in each category to see the teams inside. This gives the feel of private channels without all the background tech needed to make it happen.
Great feature to share screen with guest users when chatting and looking at things... but how bad that they must see all my channels when I share my Teams? There really is a need to only show the actual channel and the information in that channel with your external guests, no need for them to see all my Team pages and other channels.
i created a new team under teams but whenever I post a message in the created team notification alerts is not getting displayed to the members in the team . if this is the case then there is no use of creating a new team for conveying messages internally with in the team ! do fix this as soon as possible!
You should release a simple Client for customers that are only using this feature for videoconferencing/Meetings
I personaly think that the Teams Client is to complicated for the average user to use in general.
Also had a lot of issues With tenants that have been upgraded and have misses Meetings With external customers due to the fact that they are not able to contact external Clients in S4B.
Because EDU tenant has a limitation which doesn’t allow group owner who has group creation permission to create a team from O365 group by using Teams client or Teams admin center. If you are using general tenant (not EDU), general admin who has group creation permission and owns O365 groups, can create a team by using the existed O365 group from Teams client. Currently EDU admins have to use PowerShell to do that and it’s inconvenient. It would be great to create teams from o365 groups by using GUI.
