remove conversation tab
I would like the option to remove or hide the conversations tab. Teams is a great way to post and link to team related spreadsheets or slideshows and doesn't require a chat function. Keeping one sometimes means there are chat posts that are missed because they are not expected.
8,359 votesRemoving the Conversation Tab is being reviewed by the feature team.
For deleting chat messages, please following progress here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33535006.
Thanks.

Keep Tab in Memory when Switching to Chat / Other Tab - Prevent Loss of Edits, Files, Login credentials
Issue Summary:
Switching from a Tab to Chat / Teams / Other Tabs causes the Tab to close, causing you to have to reopen the Tab (actually having to navigate to it again inside the team). This will reload the tap and all content before the Switching will be lost.Issues:
1. Tabs open in Team gets reset - when switching between Teams in Team View
2. Tabs reload - when switching between Chat and Team View
3. Content (edits, files etc) on Tab gets lost (Happens both for to Issue 1 and 2)
4. It makes you re-sign-in to…1,204 votesThe team is working on changes to the desktop client so recently opened tabs are kept in memory, as long as it doesn’t use too much memory.
I will keep you posted as we make further progress.

Sharepoint tab linked to a list, a library or even a specific view
At present, when adding a SharePoint tab, you can only link to a site. Since sites may be shared among several teams, team members will still have to browse the site to find material relevant for the actual channel. It would be nice if a tab could pull up a specific custom list, library or even a specific view of a library. That would keep stuff on the site in context for that particular channel.
1,134 votesPinning the entire document library is supported today. Learn more here, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-sharepoint-page-or-list-to-a-channel-in-teams-131edef1-455f-4c67-a8ce-efa2ebf25f0b.
We currently do not support pinning a specific folder, but we are considering this feature.

Allow moving a tab between channels
Allow moving any tab, besides files and conversation, between channels in a group. On top of being able to dragging tabs to rearrange them in a channel, allow us to drag the tab to a different channel altogether. If any conversation topics at about items in that tab, it would be nice to have those seamlessly migrate to the new channel as well.
For bonus points: Allow moving a tab between groups, in the event a group needs to be 'discontinued' without losing the data.

Multi-tab experience, or remove "Are you still there?" in the web browser
I want a multi-tab Teams experience. In the desktop app, going between editing a doc, and back to an IM chat, and finding a Team channel, then back to editing the doc.. it's too crazy!
So I use a web browser, and I can keep open (and bookmark) all the important stuff I access regularly.
The problem is when I'm not on a tab for even 1 minute, it wants to reload after confirming "Are you still there?"
I would like to see the timeout increased on that, or multi-tab chatting inside the desktop app.
Thank you

Add Bluebeam Revu
There isn't a great .pdf editing software that will allow you to add notes and markups currently accessible within the tabs. Adobe Suite costs to much to have your own account for each person using it. Revu is a more afordable software that is accessed by many design teams

OneNote: Edit default view in the tab so you can see all of the pages within a section
The default view for OneNote notebook is set to "Hide All" so it only shows you the first section of the page. If you want to view the pages within a section, you have to click on View > Navigation Options > Show Only Pages. As soon as you click off of that tab the view defaults back to Hide All. It would be great if Team Owners could choose the default view.

Enable general view of the organization
It would be amazing if we can see the Org Chart (Organization tab) for the whole company and not have it limited per team or manager.
192 votesJust hover over a person’s avator and click the org chart icon in the screen that appears. Or you can click the “Organization” tab in your 1:1 chat with them. If you want to move around your company’s org chart, just click the different people who appear in the chart.

Share videos via Stream in Teams for guests
Guests should also be able to see videos via Stream embedded in a Teams channel Tab. Currently guests can not see the app and within Stream guests can not be added for viewing rights either.

Enable full SharePoint navigation
I've linked to a communiction SharePoint homepage in a tab in teams expecting it to essentially be the full SharePoint experience but it cuts out the navigation and literally just shows the web parts of the home page.
I want to be able to navigate the SharePoint as normal from here but from some reason Teams cuts this out.

Allow Sorting Videos in Stream Tab
In the Microsoft Stream tab, when linking to a channel, let us sort the videos like we can when we're actually using Stream. I want to sort by Published Date, but the default sort seems to be by views, so all of our new videos are pushed all the way to the bottom.

discussion board
I'd like to create a discussion board or forum within teams for my students.
I can't seem to find a tab for this. Id prefer it not to be a third party app either. Given all the other comunication features I'm very suprised that this isn't possible.
Cheers

OneNote
The OneNote interface is still kludgy. Every time I visit the OneNote tab, it reverts to the first page in the first section of the Notebook, rather than remembering where I left off. Also, every time I switch sections, it defaults to the first page in the section, rather than where I left off.
I hope that OneNote support in Teams can be developed to include these capabilities that the OneNote Desktop application provides. It's a significant difference in efficiency.

Allow for adding Power BI App content instead of workspace content to Teams tab
Current when adding Power BI content to teams only workspace reports/dashboards are allowed which requires member access to a workspace which our users don't have. Please allow for adding Power BI content to a team tab from a Workspace App along with workspace.

navigation buttons for working in tabs
When you add a website as a tab and then try to work from that tab there is no back button or forward button. When you click the < in teams it takes you back to the channel conversations tab.
