Where are my Skype for Business confirmed external Contacts? MS cuts the small business with a lot of external contacts off from intl com
Again Not A Good Day by MS!
For small businesses you are really the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) of IT!!!
You "very inteligent and un-thoughtful" people shut off Skype for Business to install your Team App without properly transfering the confirmed external contacts from SfB to Teams. Thanks a bundle for wrecking my international business communication!!!
Now I have to reinstate by reinvitation dozens of external contacts again - and I don't even have access to the contact list I had on SfB.
You are really the wrecking ball for the small business customers!!!!
If you **** up again like this…

first launch tutorial
Teams introduces a lot of new concepts and features, especially for "non-millennials" but even for "millennials".
There should be a quick, interactive tutorial on first launch that calls out how this app works. For instance, what is a Team, what is a channel, what do @channel and @person conversations do/alert, what do favorites mean, use the add content to tabs for easy access, etc.
As a whole department, it collectively took us a while to figure it out (and still haven't figured out everything). Why not give us a quick, 30-60 second rundown of this very new concept of Teams…

Should have the capability to move folders and not just specific files.

Allow a different channel/page as a starting point
It would be great if it were possible to make the landing page more of a welcome page, to give team members some insight into what channels are available, etc. I find it very confusing to get dumped into the conversations as the landing point.

Microsoft Teams Free not usable/accessible
I try to promote Microsoft Teams by recommending the usage of Microsoft Teams Free to my contact partners, especially to use the 'share the desktop' functionality.
But none of the three persons who tried to install the Microsoft Teams Free app on their windows PC were able to get the app run. It stuck in the process of registering or creating an account. There was the massage "Sie sind noch nicht in teams aber Sie können es für Ihre organisation einrichten" and then there was a loop with always coming back to the starting page of the registering process.

Release a version of teams that is free to use or at least only requires Office 365 consumer. Make it the go to app for collaborating on non-commercial projects and with family members and friends.

family
Teams for Microsoft Family Groups using o365 Home accounts. We have a o365 Home subscription and use the family onenote feature and the family calendar feature, it would be awesome for us to bring it all together with a Family Team.

complicated
Teams is too complicated to use for most of those people not specialists with computer, looks like it is much suitable for IT department. you know why Chinese WeChat is so popular? Just because its easy to start for everyone, even those who don't know how to type or how to use apps.
We don't expect everyone in the company knows everything about computer, but knows his work to handle.

Modify You've Been Added to a Team email
It would be nice to be able to modify the initial "You've Been Added to a Team" email to include links to overviews or internal support materials, best practices, etc. This will help us guide first-time users in getting started in Teams.

Update the description for Public Teams
When a new Team is being created and the user selects whether the Team will be Public or Private, update the description of a Public group so instead of just saying, "Anyone in your org can join" also add, "Anyone in your org can discover the content posted in this Team."
We have had issues where people were monitoring the membership in their public team, but not thinking about what was posted in the Files tab. Other people - outside the team - discovered documents from the team that they should not have been able to see.

Customize Usage reports
Hello Team!
At the moment the usage report can be set to past 7, 30, 90 and 180 days ending with the date two days before the submit day.
Due to the source stream delay, a day can be skipped sometimes. Since this statistic can be very important for users, we'd like to recommend additional customization options:
1. Option to set report ending date. This way, if a date has been skipped due to source stream delay, we'd be able to download the report for the time period after a few days.
2. Please enable the report for one day.…5 votes -

Migrate existing notebook to a new Teams
One of the most asked questions to my IT department when helping the org with setting up Teams, it what to do with their old OneNote notebook.
The notebook has usually been used for years, is shared with the team, and stored on an abandoned SharePoint site that no one uses, or worse - someones OneDrive.
The new feature that allows to connect an existing notebook to a new Teams is really useful, but this does not change the fact that the notebook is still stored at the abandoned SharePoint site, not in the new Teams and not connected to…

Skype For Business
The whole thing needs to be much more user friendly. I've been a O365 user since 2011 and had a look at Skype FB today. Now I need counselling! Why is everything "Microsoft" so difficult?
I develop software so I'm not an IT-phobe.5 votes -
Newbie Mode
In group channels, if someone enters a message via "Type a new message" area (instead of replying to an existing thread) Teams will ask if they are sure they wish to create a new thread. (Of course the usual options in the prompt to disable asking again in the future.)
I would also change the "Type a new message" to "Start a new thread"
Perhaps replace the "Reply" button with a "Type a response" box.

Enable conversation with read only documents
As a teacher who is not setting up meetings for my pupils during timetabled classes, I discovered that in 'files' I could start a conversation about my oneNote. I am using oneNote as my 'board' while remote learning takes place.
I assumed that pupils could see the set up the same way while we were online together. Unfortunately I discovered that they couldn't after three weeks. A large numbers of them going between multiple devices to see the oneNote and follow the live interactions on the teams thread.
I would like pupils to have the function 'conversation' on locked documents…4 votes
