Add NDI Support for Teams Live Events
Adding Network Device Interface would allow us to ingest non-Teams feeds (desktops or cameras) and ideally make the preview and live windows available as sources so we can send the live feed to a projector or other software that supports Network Device Interface.
414 votesWe have started to roll out NDI-Out for the Microsoft Teams client on Windows and will soon follow for the Mac client. To learn more about enabling and using NDI-Out, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/using-ndi-with-microsoft-teams-e91a0adb-96b9-4dca-a2cd-07181276afa3.

MacOS - Allow Sony Webcam as Device
Sony has released software that allows you to turn any Sony camera into a webcam called "Imaging Edge Webcam."
At this point, Zoom, Skype and other online video software recognizes the Sony cameras, but Teams does not (since it is not in the device list). It would be great to have Sony webcams (audio and video) available in the device settings on MacOS.
Hope you can look into this for an upcoming release. If you're already working on it, please let us know! Thanks.

Add a green screen effect while on cam. Background blur is nice, but sometimes you just need a change in scenery.

Support for outbound SIP calls, when using a Microsoft Teams room.
We are currently researching Microsoft Teams rooms and can't find one that will both act as a Teams based client with full call controls AND provide the ability to make outbound SIP calls. If we could find a product with these features, we have hundreds of rooms that could use it around the world!

Provide video interop natively, and not reliant on partners such as BJN, Pexip and others
Skype for Business supported 3rd party video interoperability via VIS. Microsoft Teams requires partners such as Pexip and BlueJeans to provide 3rd party interop for SIP and H323 endpoints.
Microsoft should look to develop this type of interop natively within Office 365 so organizations can derive more value from their subscriptions, reduce the costs of needing additonal subscriptions and provide a migration path to Microsoft Teams.

Allow 'trusted' Cloud Video Interop (CVI) participants to start a meeting and trigger guest and external entry
CVI participants can be set as 'trusted' so that they join directly to a meeting, but this is not the same level as 'authenticated'. Therefore this does not allow guests to join (either from Web or PSTN). There is also no progress to admit federated participants.
A couple of options here could work:
- Amend the behavior so that 'trusted' CVI participants are considered authenticated and therefore trigger guest admittance
- Enable presenter DTMF controls for CVI participants to admit the (whole) lobby, the same as pressing 8 does for PSTN presenters
- Enable a feedback notification (like there is…28 votes -

Allow VTC Participants in Live Events
Please allow VTC equipment to join Live Events as presenters, basically the same functionality that is already within Teams Meetings. We want to utilize Live Events as much as possible, and with the current feature set in regards to automatic recording etc, we found that the Live Event system can facilitate a lot of our virtual events such as townhalls, award shows and so on... However we would like to be able to use one of our Cisco VTC's to join as participant so we can use our inhouse facilities for example staging. We're currently using BlueJeans Video Interop for…

use mobile phone as webcam as either replacement or additional source for teams video
Allow for mobile phone to be used as additional or replacement webcam for teams like epoccam. Would allow for remote teams to have backup device in lieu of IT hardware support in lockdown (existing webcam failure or where webcam not been provided) or as an additional source video when demonstrating or presenting, such as close-up work. Maybe allowing for Picture-in-picture support like OBS

Video conferencing recording can be improved
We are trying to do Teams recorded video calls. Using a Video Conferencing room camera. The problem is even if you PIN in teams the video window to be full screen as the host, the recording comes back as just a quarter window. Which is disappointing as however it is being recorded it would make sense to PIN on the VC room also and the recording would come back as full screen, just portraying whatever is displayed in the room. Or is there another solution. Please can you advise how this can be done? As we would like to use…

Are There Plans to Address the Cropping of Panoramic View by 360-Degree Cameras on Microsoft Teams?
My organization intends to acquire the Meeting Owl, a 360-degree camera, to further boost communication and collaboration across our sites. However, I learnt online that Microsoft Teams, our primary communication and collaboration tool, does not optimally support panoramic view produced by 360-degree web cameras.
From the Meeting Owl website, https://support.owllabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009177547-Supported-video-conferencing-platforms, it is noted that when a certain number of participants is present, Microsoft Teams crops the video output in order to fit all participants on the screen. A couple of users have also reported this similar issue online.
I really need to know if anything is being done by…

Develop H323/sip Teams compatibility
We want direct compatibility of Teams meetings with third party systems which are using H323/sip standards. CVI platforms are extra costs for us and we use these video systems for many years before Ms-Teams.

Video Posts in Chat
It would be great to be able to post a video from Youtube or Microsoft Stream into the Team Posts (Chat) area and have the video show up in the feed with a button to play right in the experience without having to open the browser.

The ability to format your chat (font, size, color, etc.) globally for all incoming/outgoing chats, not individually each time
Instead of having to format each individual chat, let us format our chats by selecting the font style, size, color and various other elements at a global level. That way, every chat i send or receive will be formatted to my settings, so i can view them as i want. You can turn this ability on or off, and the other parties in their own chats can modify their own settings, to either accept the incoming style, or create their own global settings.

Allow OSC control of meeting functions
Have the Teams client app accept OSC (Open Sound Control) packets to control functions of mute/unmute of audio and video, list participants, mute participants, unmute participants, pin participants, start screen sharing, end screen sharing, etc. This would allow Teams to be used in a virtual production environment such as governments, schools, businesses, etc.
