Teams Room System Development Kit
We would like to ability to test out our own hardware with Teams Room Systems. We have touch screen devices, tvs, and speaker phones setup. But we can't get past the setup screen that requires us to dock the system. The device doesn't require a dock, since it has a separate touchscreen and tv already.
Is there a way to bypass this requirement?

PiP, Picture in Picture control for Teams Room and Collaboration Bar Systems
Hi,
Users used to traditional videoconferencing are missing the ability to control PiP of near side video on Teams Room and Collaboration Bar Systems; they would like to set position of PiP - the ability to move it to all corners of the screen, and the ability to switch it on and off. Thanks

Room Systems - Voice Commands for Touchless Meetings
As we think about returning to offices due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are looking for ways to make more functions in our offices touchless. Accordingly, we would like a way to perform most of the functions in a Teams Room system by voice: start meeting, end meeting, mute/unmute, start/end video, etc. In other words, ability to use the Teams Room System, which has a touch-screen tablet, but with a minimal or zero-touch approach using voice commmands.

Cortana voice assistant on Teams Room devices will let in-room meeting participants to use spoken commands to manage select controls. Presenter mode mute
I would like the idea of a presenter mode for teachers
- Mute everyone but the presenter
--push to talk for the student or attendee, hold down a button to talk
and releasing the button automatically turns off the mic.
There is too much background chatter of people who join with mics on or simply forget to turn them off after speaking

Move the "Room Control" button on Crestron systems to the main page.
Please provide the option to move the "Room Control" button in the Teams UI to the main page in place of the "More" button.
This will greatly improve the users experience as having to hit two buttons to get to the extended control (i.e. camera control and input selection) is not a stellar user experience for users and turns people away from Teams because of this user experience.
The way I see this working would be to have a selectable option in the “Features” section of the settings page. When enabled the "Room Control" button would replace the "More" button…11 votes -
Single screen content layout change with HDMI video input
When not in a call, the video input coming from a HDMI to USB video input box toggles on and off as it should, when you select 'present' the video shows, when you turn it off the video goes away.
When in a call and video is present on the content input, you cannot hide the presentation video at all, even if you choose not to be sending it over the teams meeting. Please make the default meeting layout to always be the local camera and or remote participants unless the user chooses to send the HDMI input video as…

Breakout Rooms should be easier to organise
As a teacher who is using teams to teach learners with difficulties I feel that organising breakout rooms needs to be easier, it wastes time setting up the groups during the lesson, I would like to be able to do this before I start.
It would be great to then click the button and they go off into their groups, I could then set a timer and then they automatically come back into the main room.10 votes -
please introduce a log keeping system so that we can check who kicked me out of the meeting
it would provide More convenience to the user.

Crestron AirMedia
We recently purchased the teams room system that includes the Crestron Mercury and having used Crestron previously we had high expectations. However we were rather underwhelmed to find that AirMedia, the second Ethernet port and hdmi in don’t work when the firmware is upgraded to the custom teams room firmware. We really must have these options so that teams room can meet the full use case for all of our conference rooms.

Have a clearly defined document for how to forward an invitation originating externally to a meeting room devic
Our customer had an issue that when forwarding the external originated meeting to their Crestron meeting room device, the device “scrapes” the content from the comments field to look for the Teams link. However, it caused the join link missing and the join button cannot show up properly. We made a lot of effort to investigate on this issue due to there is no clear document about the best practice of forwarding meeting invitation to MTR device

Increase video numbers in Teams For Rooms
Teams desktop client now supports 9 concurrent video users and is going to 49 in the future - However, this does not seem to be advertised for the room based systems, which would benefit from this too.
Is this scheduled or in planning?

Multi-Display Support (People and Content)
Multi-Display support is nothing new but when I search teams i see one Display Video, one display Content is not supported. Cisco Webex, and Polycom units have had that for some time. Is this something in the works, have I misread ?

With One click Meeting can we have multi-factor authentication so any meeting room authenticates with the host before joining in
If the meeting room anyone can join with one click how can we enforce security that the right meeting host is starting the meeting.

"Proximity Based Meeting Join" support for Mac clients
The Teams "Proximity Based Meeting Join" is great when using a win10 PC client, but it would be really great to have this available for companies with mixed environments including PCs and Macs

hard to follow chat
The way chats are found in 3 places makes it really hard to reference a conversation later.

Run Teams Rooms software on our own PC hardware
We need to be able to use our own hardware for TRS. It's okay to have certified a/v peripherals as long as others will work "at your own risk", but we need to be able to run the software on our own PC hardware. Zoom does this.

Move Attendees back into Lobby after Admitting them
I need to be able to move meeting attendees back into the Teams Lobby in order to work confidentially with their I-9 documents. Once I admit a group of attendees, I am unable to move them back into the Lobby waiting area. Zoom has this feature so that once I need to start 1 on 1, the others in the group can wait in the lobby without seeing confidential PII.
