  1. Have a private meeting which can be accessed by specific internal users only

We are sharing a calendar with users in our organization, so everyone can access any meeting URLs, however sometimes we would have a private meeting with the certain participants. It would be great if we have a feature to isolate those kinds of meetings from others by restricting access to those meetings.

  2. Allow Whiteboard that can be shared in a meeting to also be recorded

Allow the whiteboard that can be shared in a Teams meeting to also be recorded. This can currently be worked around by opening the standalone whiteboard app and simply sharing the screen and recording that, but the Whiteboard shared through teams allows all people in the meeting to add and sketch to the board. Opening the standalone whiteboard requires inviting everyone to that board if they need to add to it. Having everything be in teams and be record-able would simplify the process.

  3. share custom area of screen

Teams full desktop screen sharing is not usable when one person has a wide or high resolution screen. Others who do not have a similar monitor have no way to see or zoom adequately. It would be ideal to have the ability to share a custom area of the screen similar to what Zoom meetings currently allow. As wide screen and curved monitors become more popular, this will become more important to address.

  4. "In a meeting" status with end time

It would be nice to have an indication of when person will end his current meeting , when hovering over status icon. (see attachment)

  5. About sharing a whiteboard

I would like to add the ability to share pre-created whiteboards at Teams meetings.

  6. Within meetings, allowing pinning (remain visible) and moving of mute/share/hang-up toolbar

Within a meeting, having the ability to make the options toolbar (where mute/share/hang-up buttons exist) always visible is useful to quickly see if you're currently muted without needing to move the mouse - or have the People pane open.

As an extension, being able to move the options toolbar anywhere on the Meetings pane would help when the options toolbar is always visible and is obscuring information underneat it.

  7. Meeting Notes Availability for those Invited Later

Currently, meeting notes are only available to those who were initially invited to the meeting. If an employee is added later, they do not have access to notes, even if those notes are added after they are invited to the recurring meeting. Teams change and update, we should be able to share the meeting notes.

  8. Turn off "Meeting Lobby Feature" at User Level

Ability for Each User to turn of "Lobby" feature for meetings forever. A simple checkbox binary option.

"Do you want your Teams Meetings to have a lobby from which you must admit members?" Yes/No

Then, you don't have to manually do it each meeting. But you could still turn it on for individual meetings, if you'd like.

  9. chat if invited to a meeting

Users should not receive meeting chats unless they actually join the meeting. Getting chats for a meeting you haven't even accepted seems like a huge flaw.

  10. Enable full screen view for own video window in video meetings

Own video is shown as small window at the right bottom of the screen in the video meetings and you can’t make it full screen.
So, please implement a feature that can make own video expand in full screen in the video meetings.

  11. Continue to work in another app while meeting video is moved to a corner compact window

In skype we had this feature where meeting video could be make into a small compact window and user could continue to work on the computer.
In teams we can't do this easily. Our doctors, during telemed session with patient like to continue to chart/document care notes while viewing the patient video session in a smaller corner window.
We are having to do a workaround by sharing an empty notepad screen and minimizing it, then getting the actual window that we need to work on. This brings up a small compact window of patient's meeting video, however recently a toolbar…

  12. Add Warning message for non-compatible browsers when using Anonymous Acces

BIG Issue for our company: Some web browsers are not compatible with Teams Meetings (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera) and although you get a warning message when you try to join a meeting while logged into the web app (you get a pop-up saying "TRY A DIFFERENT BROWSER - This feature isn't available yet for your browser. Try the web app with Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, or switch to the desktop app."), you do net get any warnings when you are not logged in.

When users without Microsoft Teams click on the invitation link, they are routed to a…

  13. Automatically mute computer speaker when joining a meeting by phone

When calling into a meeting OR having Teams call you, the computer speaker needs to be automatically muted. Currently the computer mic is auto-muted but you have to manually mute your computer speaker. If users are not aware of this requirement, it wastes meeting time trying to figure out who is causing the feedback on the line because they are getting sound over phone and computer speaker. This is also incredibly annoying for all on the meeting. Very inconvenient the way it is currently set up and makes many in my organization prefer Webex over Teams as Webex seems to…

  14. iOS Guest User Access

When a meeting is conducted to include iOS users without MS accounts they are unable to broadcast video. On testing this is only impacts iOS, Android users are able to broadcast video.
A work around has been identified as per the attached document but surely these steps/process should not be required and a guest user should be able to broadcast video from the get go

  15. Need to be able to hide or move the menu (or is it a toolbar?) on a Teams meeting

Currently, every time I move my mouse the Teams menu pops onscreen directly on top of whatever the presenter is trying to display. Is there a way I can move or close that menu as I need it, rather than having it automatically pop up when I move my mouse?

  16. Allow us to change the meeting started time from UTC to local time

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    レコーディングした会議の開始時刻、文字化けについて

Allow us to change the meeting started time from UTC to local time

    ■Description(内容):
    Microsoft Teams で会議をレコーディングすると会議の動画が作成され、動画の冒頭部分に開始時刻が挿入されます。
    しかしながら、挿入される開始時刻が UTC 表示となっており、各タイムゾーンなどを変更しても JST 表示に変わりません。
    また会議作成時漢字で入力すると削除の ”削” や構築の ”築” が中国語表示となり文字が崩れてしまう動作となります。
    現地の時刻で開始時刻を確認するためにも、該当の時刻表示のタイムゾーン、表示を変更できるよう機能の改善、拡充を要望します。

When we record a meeting in Teams, the recording video is created, and the started time will be inserted to the beginning of the video. However, the started time is displayed as UTC, and it cannot be changed to JST even though we have changed time zone.
In addition, if we entered Japanese when creating meetings, those Japanese letters are garbled; letters will be converted to Chinese…

  17. Share Screen with Skype for Business Users

Screen sharing with Skype for Business users in another Organization is not available.

Can we use Skype for Business side by side? Our organization has already been migrated to Teams.

  19. forward meeting invites within teams

Ability to forward meetings and/or add attendees when you are not the original meeting creator.

Currently if Employee A invites me to a meeting I cannot invite Employee B, C, or D unless I forward from Outlook. This seems to add complexity and restrains my ability to stay within the Team ecosystem. I would like the ability to add attendees or quickly forward meetings to other members from the Meeting room and/or the Chat box.

  20. Ability to disable private viewing by defualt

It should be possible within Meeting Settings to disable private viewing (the ability for meeting participants to scroll through PowerPoints on their own) by default, without having to disable it manually in each meeting.
