Teams should be able to search against an URL.

Example, If someone had share an url in a chat https://aka.ms/mfasetup
later on you want to search for MFA or aka.ms.
The result for the chat that has the url will not show up.

If the user type aka.ms/mfasetup <-- which is not an url, it will show up in the search result.

Team Search should treat url as text and return the result when search.

Please provide the Search/Find option in the chat window, so it will help us to identify the particular messages over a period.

I have added users from chat, and when group chat, I feel the inconvenience of "more than 3 characters" when searching for a user.

I would like to see better search conditions, such as forward matching.

Right now when you search Teams or SharePoint, you search the entire thing. I do realize there is a filtering section, but it is very inefficient and time consuming. Thanks.

It would be great if we could specify a team to see the message contributor’s details for the message we received in a certain period. This function would be helpful to see who and when the message was posted if there are many team members.

It is difficult to sort through a channel conversation thread to find past meeting to be able to find notes/chat for a specific meeting

Better yet, roll up those meeting notes into a notebook for the channel, adding pages for each meeting's notes

It would be great if the search result could show all suggested users who have the same surname you searched with. When you search with the surname, up to 10 suggested users will be shown in the result, even if there were actually 20 users who match with the surname. We could get misunderstood the user doesn’t exist as he won’t be shown in the result.
It is inconvenient to search users with full name or email address.

I would like you to implement a feature that internal users could see the list of all users in his organization via Teams. When you search with surname in Teams, you couldn’t see all users who match with the surname in the search result. So, you might misunderstand the user does not exist as he is not in the result.

Search option if added to private one-to-one chat pages, it would be easier to search by just the text word most related in the history of conversations had.
so it makes easier to lookup for the previous conversations, rather having to scroll up or down

Search is lacking in a bunch of areas. This is just one of them.

Keep chats for longer than 1 month. They are needed.

Saved option should be under username, same like chat, files, organization and activity

And that option should reflect the things, which we have saved in the chat

Right now it is not possible to serach user by their 'display name'. Some companies are adding eg. team name to user display name. Following this example it is impossible to find users using team name.

It would be helpful,if we have filter option for messages in teams.And also it will be good if we can see the messages sent by a particular person in a group.
A separate folder for videos, means if we send a video it should go to that folder. It will be easy to filter.

Currently if there is a Private One to Many Named Chat. There is no ability to search based on the Title/Subject of that chat.

If there was a Legal Hold Request for that Named Chat an/or an Investigation where that named chat was specifically in question. It would allow for easy archival, retrieval and exporting of just that chat.

This would assist in any sort of Investigation or allegation of in appropriate behavior in that chat.
