Wiki needs image embedding
I was working on a wiki article for a channel and wanted to embed a picture. The best I could do was paste a URL. I would like to embed an image in sharepoint or just a plain image from my pc so I can talk about it in the wiki section and aid the reader understand better.
373 votesThis is done! Users can now paste an image directly into Wiki to have it embed properly. We’re rolling out a feature in the next day or two to allow users to then resize that image. We’re completing work to allow users to insert an image natively without using copy / paste, that should be completed by end of year.
If you have any trouble with this feature, just tweet me at @skprufo.

Full formatting for Teams Wiki pages
I have no idea why Microsoft would release something called a Wiki with no or minimal support for text formatting. Why is this not in alignment with the formatting options available in other wiki products as well as formatting elsewhere in Teams?
116 votesFull formatting of Teams wiki pages is available. :)
Thank you for the suggestions and feedback.

Add markdown support to Wiki tab
Currently, the Wiki tab doesn't support the same Markdown features available in Teams. This makes for a disjointed experience.

- done! :)Use the same Markdown syntax that applies to chats and messaging to format Wiki sections.
Peace and code,

I noticed that it is not possible to add a working hyperlink to the wiki tab. Could you please add this?
Could you add hyperlinks to the wiki-tab? This makes navigation to external resources much easier.
24 votesWiki now supports resolving pasted and entered URLs! You can even create links via markdown as well!!

Markup in Wikis
Supporting styling via Markup would be very handy. Particularly if creating links with this method was allowed.

Don't leave EDIT mode so fast in Wiki
Every time I leave the TEAM app (windows) or switch tabs in my browser if I am in Teams, if I am editing a Wiki, it goes back to read mode. This makes it really cumbersome to be adding data into the Wiki and having to switch out to get more info.
At least put a time of 60 seconds or so before the Wiki automatically switches from EDIT mode to READ ONLY mode.
15 votesNow you can just click into the field to edit in Wiki. No dropdown anymore!
Cheers,

Wiki tab can be removed
Why the Wiki tab cannot be removed?
There's alway the error saying:
We weren't able to remove the Wiki
There was a problem removing your Wiki. Please check the Wiki and try again. Thanks!
14 votesWe have made several fixes around Wiki tab removal, give it a try now!

Wiki needs tables
Just as you can add bullets, highlights, and text properties, allow for adding in an inline table
12 votesYou can now add tables to a Wiki tab! Each table supports all the same formatting options that are available throughout Wiki. You’ll be able to drag and drop lines to resize column width, and you can add or remove new columns and rows quickly from your toolbar.
