Reporting Capabilities
We are after reporting capabilities to capture granular detail on activity within Teams.
We would like to have data capturing:
1. Number of users enabled
2. Number of daily active unique users
3. Breakdown of devices uniquely used
4. Number of teams created
5. Number of teams deleted
6. How many instant messages sent overall in the Chat
7. How many calls made in Teams
8. Number of files shared in channels
9. How many combined ‘likes’ have been made over a period of time1,427 votes- - #7 are available today. Please see details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/teams-analytics-and-reports/teams-reporting-reference
For Channels analytics, please upvote or comment on this item: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/37398805-channel-analytics.

Block change picture
In Skype for Business we were able to prevent users from uploading pictures for their avatar. This was done from a PowerShell script that modified the OWA policy. We should have the same option with Teams. Hopefully in UI instead of PS.
1,240 votesWe have begun rolling out the fix for Teams to honor the OWA Mailbox Policy setting configured by tenant admins to control whether users can change their profile picture.
Please se https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/exchange-teams-interact for details. If you don’t have it quite yet, sit tight as it can take time to roll out fully.
Thanks!

Developer API to read/create teams and channels in them.
Slack has dev api to list teams/channels and perform bunch of management operations. It would be great if there's something similar available in Microsoft Teams as well.

See usage stats per team in Admin Center
We need to be able to see usage stats per team in admin center. Current stats show usage per user. This tells us very little as a user can be a member of multiple teams. Business area owner and rollout/adoption managers want to be able to select a team and see how much activity per week/month etc. In our case, this is the only metric that they're interested in.
210 votesThe Teams Admin Center has this functionality.
We are tracking analytics as a Team owner in this item: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/37398805.

Is there a way for IT admins to export team membership and email address?
Team Owners should have the ability to export team member names and email address into a .CSV file.
As an admin, I'd like to be able to double check with my support teams to figure out when we don't have proper access to reports and other sites that our Team Site is tied into.
So I'd like to be able to export the team member list so I can audit who is apart of the team, remove who isn't needed or share needed information to other parties.

Disbale autostart in Teams App for the entire tenant
Admins need the ability to disable the Teams auto-start for the entire organization, instead of each end user having to go in and stop Teams application from automatically starting when you boot up your device.
147 votesThe ability to use a Group Policy to prevent Microsoft Teams from starting automatically after installation was added in June ’19. Please see the documentation here: https://docs.microsoft.com/deployoffice/teams-install#use-group-policy-to-prevent-microsoft-teams-from-starting-automatically-after-installation

Provide ability to fully recover deleted Teams
When a Team is deleted, either by accident or maliciously need the ability to recover all assets including files, plans, chats, the works.
137 votesYou can now fully recover an accidentally (or purposely) deleted team. Just follow the instructions here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Restore-a-deleted-Office-365-Group-b7c66b59-657a-4e1a-8aa0-8163b1f4eb54?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

Import EXISTING O365 group, but restrict NEW group creation
Would like to see more administration options regarding O365 group creation and publishing to Teams.
Currently there is only 1 option - turn new O365 group creation OFF at all or allow to create groups everywhere.Would be good to allow owners import already existing O365 groups example (or give admins option to allow users to do that).
In our example we have controlled way (self-service portal) where users can order new O365 groups, but problem is that if we can control new O365 creation there, this group is not added into Teams after creation. And there is possibility now…45 votesUsers should now have the ability to convert an existing Office 365 group to a team even though team creation is disabled for them.
Users will be able to do this by simply clicking on “Add team” in the “Teams” left rail, then clicking on the “Create team” tile in the team gallery. This should bring them straight to the list of Office 365 groups they can convert as long as they are currently a group owner.

Increase the limit of users in a team to 10,000
We are 10,000 employees and want to be able to communicate to everyone in a team. Teams have a limit of 5000 users so we will probably choose another tool for our organization. When will this limitation disappear?
42 votesWe are pleased to announce general availability of 10,000 member teams. All new and existing teams can accommodate up to 10,000 members, double the previous limit. Larger groups can now collaborate effortlessly in a single team and leaders can connect with a broad audience within their organization.

Teams based on dynamic Office 365 groups
Currently Teams are only able to be created from static O365 groups.

Allow us to use multi-byte characters to name a new team created from Microsoft Teams admin center
*English follows Japanese
■Title(件名):
Microsoft Teams 管理センターからチームを作成する際のエラーについてAllow us to use multi-byte characters to name a new team created from Microsoft Teams admin center
■Description(内容):
The error " We couldn’t create this team " is displayed when creating a team via Microsoft Teams admin center if the team name contains multi-byte character such as Japanese.
I hope this behavior will be corrected so that I can create a new team with Japanese name.Thank you for your consideration.

Poor admin portal Teams name search
Need to have partial searching in the Manage Teams area of the Admin Portal. We only have 100 teams so far and it's already getting unmanageable as the search only matches from the start of the Team name e.g. Team called "Business Development" doesn't appear in search results for 'Development'.
Additionally, not being able to sort the columns or export the list is very unhelpful.
2 votesA fix for this was released Jan ’20. Thanks!

Have you got a simple introduction to the overall logic of Teams / Groups / subsides / Teamsites - perhaps even a data entity map?
How about an overall view of the relationship between the different logical data entities and the Apps that access them?
Peter
1 voteHi Peter,
From your chat with T-Bot in Microsoft Teams, click Videos. You will find information to help you navigate Teams and the O365 ecosystem. Thanks!
