  1. I'm getting notices that a "helper" is now available; I'd love to see a description of what is being changed versus just forking over my cre

I keep getting notifications that a Helper is being added to my system and being prompted for admin credentials. It would be nice to get a notice of what the Helper is doing before I authorize a blind update.

  2. Add download progress for teams downloads

It's so annoying to keep checking in on finder until to the filesize stops moving in order to tell when a download is finished. Be more like Slack. Add a downloads drawer.

  3. Quote and reply to a specific message in a chat - on MacOS app!

Quote and reply to a specific message in a chat is available on iOS and other platforms, but not on MacOS yet. Very frustrating.

  4. Dock options like changing status

Would be helpful to have some actions when right clicking the Dock icon, ie at least change our status (available, busy, etc), set the status message.

  5. Not working on slow internet connection

The Teams app and workflow is really great, but you constantly get slowed down or even knocked out when you're on a slow internet connection (even 450 Kbit/s is not enough).

Every couple of minutes, Teams shows "Please reconnect so we can keep your conversations going." even tough the connection is stable - but slow.
After some time, it suggests to reload the app, which takes ages. So it's not usable at all, which is very sad, considering how great it is.

  7. Alias for contact

I can give my contact in Jabber a different display name that is easier for me to remember. But I couldn't do the same thing in Microsoft Team. I'd like to see this functionality added.

  8. Bundle identifier ID of MS Teams for Chrome on MAC

When trying to set the MS Teams app as default handler for opening and calling of tel-Links on Chrome for MAC, then as default is set the app Microsoft Teams Helper, instead of MS Teams, because both applications have the same bundle identifier ID: com.microsoft.teams.
Microsoft Teams Helper should have another bundle identifier ID, so that it is different from MS Teams, so that Chrome can connect correctly to MS Teams.
Please check the attachment for comparison.

  9. stop asking me to download your malware or upgrade to your non-performant cloud services

    0/5 stars

don't give a $#!+ about your app, ok? your "app" is an os shim, wrapped around an electron app, which loads the same web app that runs in any "supported" browser. and y'all wonder why performance, and system resource utilization sucks?

you might be fooling the n00bs, but not anyone who is familiar with your bull$#!+.

and seriously ... does the teams really need to communicate with 2-dozen-plus hosts, multiple times a minute? i think not.

also, if one does not have OneDrive service, stop asking about that $#!+, as well. it's bad enough my company wastes operating…

  10. Don't quit the Mac client when the user closes the Window

Every time the MacOS client window is closed, the app quits so Notifications are missed - I've never seen this problem in ANY native chat app.

This is a Major usability problem due to missed notifications and untimely responses - we now typically use SMS on our phones as Teams notification are so unreliable, but that's really painful.

This is one of the most basic, standard Mac OS behaviors from from almost the creation of MacOS.

On March 16, 2017 there is a post in UserVoice that claims this issue was resolved and the issue was marked closed.
    The post…

  11. Planner for Teams permissions management

Hi, can you please advise? We are trying to use Microsoft Planner with Teams for Mac app, but there are no permissions restrictions in task management, so anyone from the team can have non-restricted access to assigned tasks, that is very frustrating and not safe for business and project management. When this feature will be implemented? Thx

  14. Clean up Mac window controls.

The window controls on the Mac should be cleaned up, they are awkwardly shoved in the corner. When using a full height window title bar they should be centered and moved in, i.e. Safari. Or the sidebar could be extended up. See attached.

  15. Remove the "hidden" Window for notifications on Mac OSX

Currently when I click on the Window menu item, there is a permanent option in the list for "Microsoft Teams Notification". I assume if you used MacOSX notifications instead this may not be necessary. Is there some way to remove this otherwise? It doesn't actually do anything when you click on it.

Leave the Teams app in the window I place it, don't move around when I switch to different workspaces.

  18. You need to natively support CMD key bindings on Mac. If you do not do this in your next release you really show how hard your app is

All good Mac apps use cmd bindings. Command plus k is a fast switching modal in slack that is the most used key binding.

When you are on a Mac the command key is finger friendly. Every time I get on a pc it is grueling not having good bindings.

  19. Command + H hides the window on a Mac and then if someone messages me, it pops up the entire window rather than just doing the banner..

I hit Command + H on a mac to hide the window, but if someone messages me, it pops the entire window up rather than just the banner in the corner. Is it possible to fix this?
