  1. Set availability to Away when the computer is locked (Mac)

Please add functionality to the Mac client to automatically set the status to Away when the computer is locked (Shift+Command+Q). It should then automatically switch back to Available when the computer is unlocked.

  2. Add a progress bar to downloads

Please add a progress bar in the Downloads/Files section. There is no way for me to know how far a download is and as you can imagine, downloading big files doesn't add to the overall user experience. I'm really trying to like this app... But the limited features just doesn't compare to competitors like Slack who design for users, not business.

  3. Make use of Mac Touch Bar for mute/unmute and other meeting actions

Teams should allow the use of the Mac Touch Bar to do functions such as mute/unmute, leave meeting, show participants and so forth.

  4. MacOS freezes

Teams for MacOS would randomly freeze.
I can switch to it, but no windows with chats visible.
I have to force quite it and then re-open it to use it.

    Latest MacOS 10.14.5 (18F132)
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.2.00.13765. It was last updated on 20/06/2019.

  6. Remember audio device selection

As a user of Teams on Mac, currently:

    1. I join a meeting and select my USB headset as speaker and microphone device in Teams

    2. I leave the meeting

    3. I restart my computer

    4. I join a meeting and Teams had changed the speaker and microphone device back to the system default.

It would be nice if in step 4, Teams would remember the last time I had a meeting I selected my USB headset for speaker and microphone device and use that.

  8. Catalyst Teams Mac App

Please look at making a Catalyst version of the Mac Teams app for 10.15 (ie. iPad app on Mac).
The current Electron app is slow and sluggish.

  9. Allow AirPods to mute/un-mute the audio

AirPods allow you to start/stop audio by clicking on the base of the airpod. It would be nice for Teams to consume this signal and allow the audio to be muted/un-muted.

  11. Edit PowerPoint using Office Apps not just edit Online Powerpoint in MS Team apps

Currently, MS teams app allows you to edit powerpoint using the Edit Powerpoint Online option. We have many people using Team in their MAC PC.

  12. double click title

Please set your OS X desktop app to follow the system preference for double clicking the title bar. Very annoying when you have this set to minimize apps, and this one app maximizes.

  13. Cannot Link to Existing Channel File

On the mac app I created a file in a channel successfully. When I am on the Conversation screen and attempt to add that file to my conversation by linking it from the existing team channel, I get an error saying "upload failed". Happens every time in any channel.

  15. It would be great if you could have a setting to let the icon bounce when there is a notification.

  17. Teams on Mac doesn't respect window hiding

If the teams window is hidden on Mac (via cmd+h or by opt clicking on another window while the teams window is active) notifications will cause the window to become unhidden.

  18. Remove the "hidden" Window for notifications on Mac OSX

Currently when I click on the Window menu item, there is a permanent option in the list for "Microsoft Teams Notification". I assume if you used MacOSX notifications instead this may not be necessary. Is there some way to remove this otherwise? It doesn't actually do anything when you click on it.

  19. sound output mac

Video call sound comes out of standard speakers, and no way to change to what the system is configured for, like external speakers.

  20. Presence/Status doesn't show 'Online' until activating the macOS app

Often, the Teams app on macOS will show me as 'Away' after 3 mins of inactivity in the app, even though I'm still working on my computer. Doesn't realise that just because it's not the active window, that it doesn't mean I'm gone.
