  1. Shortcuts interfere with OSX bound shortcuts

The Alt-E button in The Netherlands is standard bound to a "´" symbol, therefor in a message-inputfield you can't use that button to jump to the "find person/team" field because it will then type that character.

  2. After update on MAC - notifications are missed

There have been many times where teams has updated while it’s been minimized on my machine, causing me to not see any new messages until the next time I’ve manually re-opened and logged in again.

  3. macOS - Login credentials get asked about every hour

Why are login credentials not saved. Desktop applications logs out about once every hour. I am using teams or Mac version 0.7.00.40. Shouldn't it stay logged all the time?

  4. add external team members

Currently you can't add external team members to Teams on a Mac.....of if you can it is so unintuitive that I can't find it. Please make it easy to add external people into your team.

  6. mac graphic

Teams Helper usually trigger the discrete graphic card on Macs with dual graphic cards. This leads to higher energy consumption.
Could you please stick to the integrated graphic card in all cases?

  7. Mac Thick Client Support Kerberos Auth

My work device is domain joined, I have a Kerberos TGT on my device, and it works just fine when I use my browser. Kerberos authentication then just works with our ADFS identity provider, and I log into Teams, Office 365, and a multitude of other SAML protected endpoints. No additional password required while I'm logged in and on network.

The Teams thick client however always prompts me for a username and password for our ADFS endpoint, in spite of being on network and logged in. It would be nice if the Teams thick client could leverage my kerberos authentication…

  8. Application preferences on Mac

There are no application preferences on the Mac desktop app. I would like to be able to configure both the location for downloaded files, and the font & size for usability reasons. (I'm sure there are others.)

The standard hotkey is Cmd-comma (','). Preferences are normally presented in a separate window, though some applications like Google Chrome show preferences in a new tab instead, which would be acceptable in this case.

Please add a preferences tab or window, and include both download location preference (like Slack does), and font settings.

  9. Make notifications work on Mac wihtout teams running

I'd like Notifications to work on Mac when I don't have the Teams app open. Maybe that Teams Helper app could run in the background as a daemon even when Teams.app isn't open.

I hacked it into working by making a second copy of the Teams app and adding <key>LSUIElement</key><true/> to the Info.plist file inside the package contents. Now I can always run the 'background' copy to get notifications with no dock icon and open the original Teams app when I want to use the interface.

  10. Allow Office desktop apps to edit files in Mac

Can we have access to editing MS Office files directly in the desktop apps on the Teams Mac desktop app? It works in the Windows version. Kills productivity on the Mac. Also, it should be available not only on the file tab, but also on linked files directly on the conversations (such as when linking a file from Dropbox or OneDrive).

  11. Add to Mac Share Menu

I'd love to be able to have Teams in the Share Menu from different apps. Instead of having to copy and paste a link

  12. Remote control on macOS

Allow me to use remote control when a colleague uses Microsoft Teams using macOS too. At this point, I can only remote control users sharing their screen from Windows.

  13. Teams for Mac OS: allow for a (new) main window to be opened/created

The current Microsoft Teams has its main window disappear on me at least daily (and I'm not sure why that happens). The only way to get it back is to quit Teams and re-launch it.

Having a way to "File - New - Main Window" would be fabulous (short of figuring out why that main window goes away of course). This "Main window" exists for Outlook already.

if there is an *.eml file in the channel file and its opened, it open up in Mac Mail rather then Outlook even though the default mail client is set to Outlook.

  15. smartsheet integration is broken

The access tocken not picked up by the desktop app on OSX at times.

Some smartsheet sheets would load, others would show the login page.

Pressing login would authenticate but nothing would happen in teams.

    This really cripples smartsheet integration

    Please fix

  17. Use standard Mac keyboard shortcuts

There are many apps like Teams where hitting the return key after entering text "posts" the text in whatever way makes sense for the app. The Mac standard is to type option-return to insert a newline into the message (since just return does something else). Teams uses shift-return instead. I wish that Teams would use the Mac standard.

  18. Edit PowerPoint using Office Apps not just edit Online Powerpoint in MS Team apps

Currently, MS teams app allows you to edit powerpoint using the Edit Powerpoint Online option. We have many people using Team in their MAC PC.

  20. STOP UPDATING AUTOMATICALLY AND DISTURBING MY WORK FLOW!!!!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU

4-5 times a day, Teams updates which takes you out of what you are working on. It is tedious and unnecessary. These "updates" don't change anything noticeable and should be saved for the end of the work day, or at the user's discretion.
