  1. Reply like in WhatsApp in Teams desktop app

    t would be really helpful if you could reply to a specific message within a conversation or thread by clicking on the box and pressing reply like in WhatsApp in Desktop / Laptop (Win 10) app.

    This feature is already there in ios & android

  2. Ability to have a shared Team identity for chat

    I run a HelpDesk and it would be great to have the ability for users to use Teams to chat with a "HelpDesk" ID that could be responded to by support personnel.
    We use a shared mailbox at present and users can find the mailbox in Teams and send a chat message to it, but there's no way to respond in Teams

  3. Provide Meeting Buttons [Video|Mic|ScreenShare|EndCall] buttons as Toolbar buttons during Meetings

    When conducting meetings, the meeting buttons window is useful but obstructing the presentation area. To fix this, can we introduce a Toolbar (Like Windows Media Player in olden windows) that has the meeting buttons [Video|Mic|ScreenShare|EndCall] during the call. This helps to manage calls, mic without having to restore the meeting snippet.

  4. Regarding behavior when advanced authentication is blocked for the Teams client

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    Microsoft Teams クライアントにて先進認証をブロックされた際の動作について
    Regarding behavior when advanced authentication is blocked for the Teams client

    ■Description(内容):
    現在、Microsoft Teams クライアントの先進認証がブロックされたり、失敗した場合、 Web の認証画面に遷移することがある。
    クライアントへのアクセス制御を設定している場合、Web 認証に遷移してはアクセス制限を設定している意味をなさないため、クライアントの認証ブロック、または失敗時に Web 認証に遷移するかどうか制御できる機能の拡充を希望します。
    At present, when the Microsoft Teams client’s advanced authentication is blocked or fails, users are redirected to the web authentication screen.
    If access restrictions are set on the client, there is no point in directing the user to the web to set their access permissions, so please add a function to set whether users are redirected to the web authentication page or not when client authentication is blocked or fails.

  5. I want to have multi-screen viewing of content

    It would be beneficial to split screen content of Teams. For example I want to pull a presentation onto a second screen so I can see content while still using the other features on a separate screen such as chat, checking my calendar, uploading or searching for a file.

  6. Columns in teams interface should be able to be resized

    I would love to be able to resize the columns in the interface just by dragging the boundary left and right, like in outlook, or with a column in excel. Sometimes I want to see more of the results/teams/feed area, for instance when I want to see the full name of a Team or the full address of a file in results.

  8. Elevate Screenshare Sessions

    Having the ability to elevate permissions during a screensharing session, like Bomgar/LogMeIn, would be quite handy as an IT support tool. It would help with the adoption rate and efficiency.

    Thanks for listening and keep up the great work!

  9. I want to add [Organization Chart] in "App Setup Policy"

    Organizations can be viewed in private chat.
    This must be confirmed for each user.
    Add an Organization tab to the “App setup policy”.
    By doing so, you can check the users in the organization in the organization chart and send a chat.

  10. Stop showing Teams in alt-tab when I specifically have the app NOT in the task-bar

    I don't like Teams in my task bar items with my code editor, etc. since I have too many things already there and it takes up space. Therefore when I alt-tab I do NOT expect to see the Teams icon either, but it does show up. This does not seem like consistent windows behavior. If an app is not in the active taskbar it should not be in Alt-tab either.

  12. can I use Chrome (chrome.exe --app=https://teams.microsoft.com) instead of Desktop app

    Teams Desktop isn't really Teams app; it's just Electron (Chromium?).

    In an enterprise environment with roaming profiles, it is impractical; it installs per-user; it updates per-user.

    Teams is a PWA.

    I can use Chrome directly and get similar results;

    chrome.exe --app=https://teams.microsoft.com
    Operationally, this is vastly superior;

    no need to install or update Teams app

    in an environment with roaming profiles that are deleted at logoff, the computer becomes much more responsive (in the user's perception).
    Chrome is already deployed on all computers and is already self-updating
    If people use Chrome as well, will it "share" the application memory, reducing…

  13. Start new chat in MS Teams is not intuitive and hard to find as it's on it's own and not in a logical spot - did you do any user testing on

    Start new chat in MS Teams desktop is not intuitive and hard to find as it's on it's own (top left) with no association to chat and not in a logical spot - did you do any user testing on this...I'm not a power user and always frustrates me to find it.

    It should be located as an option on chat menu item on left; and or top right where you can add people to a chat..

    This is UX 101 stuff, come on MS

  15. Views are not saved on the desktop appplication

    The views are not saved on the Teams desktop. If change a view on planner or if a sort my folders by name, size or modification, the last view mode is not saved.
    I think you should go back the last view mode you have used.
    Thank you

  16. Share My Visual Studio so I can remote Pair Programming.

    I should be able to click a button and Capture my Visual Studio, Git Bash, etc. Once clicked any user in the group can edit, save, copy, etc. This would be useful for Pair Programming. Not a screen capture, a remote desktop for an application.

  17. always on top

    After the latest update, the desktop app is always on top of all other windows. Is this really by design?
