  1. Navigate to downloaded file by clicking the "item downloaded" box

If you click the "Downloaded" popup on the bottom right a window should open bringing you to the item in Windows explorer.

This isn't complicated. Teams literally opens the downloads folder when that popup is clicked. Now you just need to have it highlight the item that was downloaded.

  2. Allow

Allow file links (https://teams.microsoft.com/_#/files/<link_to_file>) to open in Desktop client when installed. This already works for channel links (https://teams.microsoft.com/l/channel/<link_to_channel>)

  3. Make It Start Up Like Edge - Save State

For quick start-up times, save state of last session.

Less blocking/waiting for main UI to appear.

Allow different aspects become useable when the connections become available so the user has something to do other than wait.

  4. Teams app window position

    I have multiple screens.
I open Teams and then move it to another screen.
When I close Teams and re-open it, it then opens on my main desktop screen again. This did not always happen, in previous versions of teams it would open on the screen it was last on.

This behaviour seems to change from update to update - almost as if there wasn't proper version control going on.

  6. Images need to behave like consumer Skype

Pasting an image into the chat window, and having it very slowly upload like a file is very painful and not user friendly. Please emulate the behaviour of consumer Skype when it comes to handling images.

Teams even said my 4.4MB image was too large... other chat applications just compress the image and don't complain. You can't expect users to be compressing their own images in order to be able to send them, it'll be a support nightmare.

  7. An error has occurred ...

Sometimes when the Teams client on Windows is started, it tells me the following: "An error has occurred. Restart the application" (my locale is not English, so it might be a different text for you) and shows only one button to continue which is labeled "Update now". Which does not match what the error message says.

Can you please tell us users what this really is about? Is it really an error, or do you want (to force) me to update the app? In either case, please send a coherent message: "It's an error -> restart", "We want you to…

  9. Better OneDrive for Business integration with local Sharepoint synching

Having enabled local synching of Sharepoint group folders with OneDrive for Business, it would be useful open the local copy instead of using the browser.
This apply to non managed files extensions (ie: .zip, .txt, .json, ...)

  11. Microsoft Teams Notifications position

Add an option to let user change the position of the Mictrosoft Teams notifications on MacOS. Currently it's only on top right which is so annoying, because it overlaps the other apps important buttons!

  12. get rid of the bloat

Make stripped down version that doesn't eat too many computer resources. All I want/need is to post a question in plain text and get an answer

  13. Improve Mac support

The app takes over OS-wide keyboard shortcuts, and its window management is really inconsistent - especially after an update.

  16. One Login and one Desktop/App for all MS Products.

Integrate all MS products under one account. I can explain the idea in steps.
    1) Login in to a UI(which is nothing but my MS page).
    2) This shows all the MS products subscribed by me.
    3) It also suggests/recommends any of the MS products that I can buy and make use of.
    4) Now I need not have separate applications to be installed in my desktop, mobile or any other devices. This "One app for all MS products" should help me to login and open the MS products I need, say it be Teams or Outlook or anything else.

  17. Add External Link to Navigation

I would like the ability to add an internet link to the navigation in Teams. My company uses ADP for our payroll. Managers and Supervisors login to approve hours, address missed punches, approve time-off, etc. It would be great if we could add an icon that links to an external website both personally and globally.
So, where you have the links to Chat, Teams, Meetings, etc. I would like to be able to add the external link there.
    Thanks!

  18. Additional download links for the desktop app.

On the O365 homepage there's a dropdown menu to install the desktop office suite or any additional apps, but Microsoft Teams is no where to be found. The only links available are for running the browser version.

Could we get a download link added to one of the O365 pages (with the rest of the apps) or even a button or menu option inside the browser app itself?

Having some additional links is preferred to the constant prompts received while using the browser version.

  19. alt-[arrows] under "files"

I heavily use alt-leftarrow and alt-rightarrow when navigating links in Windows Explorer and any browser. I would be delighted to see this same functionality while working in the folder structure of teams.

  20. Switch order for sign-off and exit in taskbar context menu

If you click right on the taskbar icon of Microsoft Teams to open the context menu, you do see "exit" above "sign-off" which is quite confusing. All other Microsoft apps have "exit" at the end of the list, which make much more sense.
